try disconnecting the power supply and leave it for a few minutes which shoudl reset the controls.

Has anyone got the bottons wet (Wet cloth etc), if so this can have a detrimental effect on the buttons function.?

can be a couple things, 1 is your dishwasher could be on an forward angle instead of tilting backwards slightly as theres nothing actually holding the water back from pouring out the front, 2 your using to much detergent and the excessive foam is foaming over the seal (very common) try using half what your using now, 3 the pressure switch within the machine is faulty, the pressure switch is the device which tells the control board the unit has filled with the correct amount of water and when all the water has drained when damaged they will not cut off the water which will eventually overflow the machine

Error CL appears when the dishwasher control detects door switch is open or door is open. You'll have to open the door and check the continuity of the door switch. If the door seems to be closed then it is the control has detected an issue with the door latch. Check the door latch & seals to make sure door is closing fine. Unplug the dishwasher from power outlet and wait for 10-15 minutes. Restart the dishwasher and check if the error is still there. If error still appears then you'll need to repalce the door switch/door latch. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Hello,

it could be the motor depending on where it's coming. You can remove the lower panel, there are only two screws that hold it on. Look under their and inspect the motor.

Another part that could cause this issue is the mother board. The board is located behind the control panel. Remove the screws around the door frame to loosen and remove the control panel.

On most of these you also have to remove the plastic shielding that cover the control board. To do so remove the three or four screws that mount the board down.

Often these control boards will burn and create a smell like this.

The only thing to do is replace the nut the part number for the heater nut is 154106202. they run about 3.50 dollars from a local parts supplier
