I have been told to replace the timer which I am looking to do the same to my machine!

For Bosch Dishwasher Ascenta models, open the door to reset it. Hold the Start-Reset button for about 5 seconds or until the Active indicator turns off. Shut the door of the dishwasher to allow it to thoroughly drain before turning it off. This should reset the cycle drain.

Look on the rear where the power wire goes into the machine. A faulty cycle timer could be the culprit.

Did you check the leak sensor pan which is under the machine, but above the floor. Once it senses water in it, it stops the cycle. Google make model leak sensor ..

If you can connect to the circulation pump using a multi meter using the Ohm ? (resistance) setting, touching the 2 poles - and +, you can see if the motor is failing. If you get a current tester pen you can track the electricity along the wires to the circulation motor to see if the dishwasher is delivering power. If you remove the circulation pump you can have someone test it(by hooking it up to a direct power source). I had a similar issue and it was not the circulation motor, but the control board that failed.

Many owners of the Bosch dishwashers perceive h01 (h: 01) or h02 (h: 02) and other signs as an error. But in fact, this is not an error, and you accidentally got into the start-up timer menu (delayed start of washing dishes). In this case, h01 means that washing dishes will start exactly in 1 hour; if the display shows h02, then washing process will begin exactly in 2 hours. As a rule, in most models of dishwashers from Bosch, a delayed start can be set in the range from 1 to 24 hours.

shut off power you have a short or motor failing

Hot water, not boiling, get a rag, soak it and cover lid. Let it cool before having another go at undoing. Top tip, try to tighten, just a bit, as quite often it will go that way!

Pour boiling water over the cap and with a cloth unscrew whilt still hot.

possibly a dead control board

first find source of leak --valve -water line --door gasket --pump --drain --drain seal

More than likely the hinges will adjust as they may have been bent.

Check the water level.

Check the spinner is not blocked or jammed.

These handles are often mounted from the back of the door. You might have to strip down the whole door to replace the old handle
