I have a HOOVER HED 6612 dishwasher just under a year and half old. Decided that it wants to sing rather than wash!!! it will do the prewash then as soon as it gets to wash it flashes 2 lights (rinse aid & Salt lights) constantly and beeps till switched off. I cant press any other buttons and have checked manual which says check inlet valve which i have done. There dosent appear to be anything wrong. It heats up and drains fine but motor keeps going till its switched off. Please can anyone help
We have had the same problem but have found a fix.
1. If any of the wheels have come off the top sliding basket/rack you need to make sure they are all back on for each wash ( ours are very loose! )
2. Push the top rack in FIRMLY before you wash - make sure it engages at the back.
That's it - solved it for us after months of problems.
I think that as the wheels get worn the top rack does not fully engage at the back and this is when the problem starts manifesting itself. We have some new wheels on order but they are taking ages to arrive.

How to replace the top rollers on a GE dishwasher model # gsm1800nww
Lower Rack
Remove the two plastic end caps, located on the end of each dishwasher arm. To remove, insert a flat-head screwdriver between the arm and the tab on the outside of the end cap, then lift the tap to remove the end cap.
Pull the upper dishwasher rack straight of out the arms to remove.
Insert the rollers on the bottom of the new upper dishwasher rack into the rack arms, then push the rack completely into the dishwasher.
. Align the end caps with the ends of the arms, then push the end caps into place.

my dishwasher is leaving sediment on my glasses
Here'sthe best and final trick which I continue to do about every 6 weeks orso: Pour 1-2 cups white vinegar into the dishwasher and run it throughits longest cycle, using the hottest water setting. This will dissolveall the hard water mineral deposits and clean the dishwasher's pipes out reallywell with none of the danger associated with muriatic acid. And it's verycheap. If that doesn't do it tryreplacing the pump.

Blinking "Normal" light on a Maytag model #MDB7749AWMI dishwasher and machine will not run. How do I fix it? I have tried pressing the "Start" button once and the "Drain Stop" button twice-didn't work.
Hi
Open the door.
Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash,
heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within
6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help
then try pressing Saini
Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air
Dry, Saini
Rinse, Air Dry, Saini
Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door
and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally.
If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and
try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the
keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.
Hope this
helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Brand new Matytag MDB7749AWB Dishwasher does not work correctly. As soon as the power was turned on, all three cycle indicator lights ('Wash', 'Dry', and 'Clean') came on and always remain on. The 'Sanitized' indicator light is also always on. I ran the dishwasher through one automatic cycle and it seemed to work OK except it washed way too hot, as if 'Steam Clean', 'High Temp Wash', or 'Sanitize' were selected, even though none of them were. Resetting the power has no effect.
Try putting the unit into a test mode. This my clear your issues otherwise call for service.
One of two ways to do this.
In standby (no lights) Press the combination of buttons:
hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash
All lights will come on and the washer will run a test cycle anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
If that button comb doesn't work use:
heated dry > sanitize > heated dry > sanitize > heated dry

My Maytag QuietSeries 400 dishwasher won't start. Sometimes 88 flashes on the display and that's all. What does that mean? Model # MDB7601AWB
Dishwasher will not start
Is the door open or unlatched?
Make sure the door is completely closed and latched. On models with a
dual-digit display, the control displays "- -" during a cycle if it
believes the door is not latched. Check for obstructions (spoons, etc),
interfering with the door operation. A lower dish rack that is installed
backward will also cause incomplete door closure.
Check your household electrical box to see if a fuse has blown or if
the circuit breaker has tripped. If the unit has a plug-in power cord,
make sure it is plugged in.
Does your dishwasher have a rotary timer knob? (Some Models)
The cycle selection must match the position of the timer knob. Turn
the timer knob to the beginning of the preferred cycle. The timer knob
should click when you reach the start of the cycle.
Is the control lock option activated?
Press and hold the Heated Dry option (button with lock icon)
for three to five seconds and the light should turn off. Instructions
are also placed on the label on top of the inner door to unlock the
controls.
Is the delay start option activated?
To cancel the delay and cycle, press Cancel/Drain.
Has the motor stopped for less than 10 minutes?
The motor may have stopped due to an overload. If this is the case,
the motor will automatically reset itself within 5-10 minutes.
Is the Start/Resume indicator flashing?
Opening the door or interrupting the power can stop the cycle. Close
the door and press Start/Resume. If the Start/Resume indicator flashes
three times when you press Start/Resume, the dishwasher is waiting for
you to open the door after the last cycle. Open and close the door, and
then press Start/Resume.
On models where the controls are on top of the door be sure to close
the door within 3 seconds of pressing the Start/Resume to start or
resume the dishwasher cycle.
Is the water shutoff valve (if installed) turned on?
Make sure that the water shutoff valve is turned on.

In my GE dishwasher, the jet-dry in the dispenser turned brown. I emptied it all out and refilled it with clean jet-dry, but a few weeks later it was brown again. I guess somehow dirty water is getting into the jet-dry container? What causes this and how can I fix it?
Had the same problem, opened up the dishwasher, pulled out the jet dry container and found some kind of nasty growth in it. I honestly have no idea what it is, so of course I took a picture, and then threw the whole thing away.

My office's GE QuietPower 3 dishwasher detergent cup doesn't drain of soap. The door flips open (I think), but there is always soap left behind. Not old, crusty, soap residue, but fresh soap. I've tried not putting any soap in and running it, and leaving the little door open and running it, and nothing works! Our dishes never get clean, of food residue or detergent splatters
Hi,
There are three common problems that cause the Soap Dispenser or Cup not toopen. I have a tip that will explain these problems in detail....

Wondered if somehow the jet dry dispenser might be clogged. Is always seems full.
If the jet dry dispenser is full, it will last you about 3 or 4 months depending on how often you use the dishwasher
