When it looses signal is the dish still powered up? And is there any equipment near the washer or xmas lights? That should not happen whatsoever. Try pluggin the lights and washer into different outlets preferably on another circuit breaker and see if any changes occur..

Check your television source. It could be that it was descrambling the signal.

U have any light on at all?Not than ur power board it dead must replaced.

Unplug replug about an hour later,if the same problem than ur backlight video board it dead.Need it replaced.

if your using a cheap Stereo your could have a ground problem and damage your tv...make sure you don't have your plugs in backa=ward meanig the wide endes must be the same way and not force the other way

this is a user manual ..that show you how to put on the password..and lock it from the option menu ...but ..I assume that you have no access to the main panel ...cause it is locked...in this case ...either contact the manufacturer for a back door unlocking code...or ..try to fool it by erasing all settings ...and the way to do it its to remove any power into its an internal memory ...I'm not sure where it is located,, but it has to be a battery like the one computers have for bios...removing this will erase all settings ...

It sounds to me like there's a few bad capacitors on the main power supply board,take the back off and look around for any electrolytic capacitors that have puffed out tops.

convergance issue. Possibly bad high voltage transformer or a bad capaictor or IC or STK depending on what type of tv you have. If projection, then STK, if lcd or plasma, then it is an IC

Might be ur controller inverter board or main video backlight board.Ur video does show up a picture right?That the only two boards that related to video.My adviced to u is buy the controller inverter board first tried that,if not work return it for money back,but must pay restocking fee.That the board between the power supply and main backlight video board.Than u know for sure it the main video backlight board.

sorry guys sound is not ment to be transmited through a rgb cable its just for higher quality video you can use a the red and white RCA inputs to get sound to your tv but you need a headphone jack -rca cable or if you tv has a headphone jack just buy a cable with one headphone jack on both ends

If its dead completely no lights nothing to show power at all....then its the power supply. if your seeing a blinking light of some sort its probably a code. you can figure out what it means if you download the service manual.
Dont forget to include an extended warranty to the price of your TV! if you see a tv for 500 with the extended warranty and tax it could cost up to 750$ or more

hi the cable you need to ask for is a standerd VGA

Ur power inverter board is dead.
U need a new one.
U getting power don't mean it good.
