probably bad capacitors on power board, need to relace the caps.

Use the C C button repeatedly to select Caption O f f, C C 1,1C C 2, C C 3, C C 4, T e x t 1, T e x t 2, T e x t 3 or T e x t 4. If your remote does not have the cc button then try this. Go to menu,scroll to option select it,then go to caption/text and select off in that option.

Turn off the sleep timer,make sure not on like 30,60,120 mims.The tv should work normal again.

Have you unplugged the LG TV, waited about 2 minutes, and plugged back in to try and reset the TV?
After you reset the TV, try using the key pad on the TV first before you use the LG remote.

Take ur tv aparts,where the A/C power cord goes that ur power supply board,check it all around the power supply board for those dead capacitors,they alway puff ups or bulges up on it top.U know basic electronic's and soldering?These capacitors have leakage gases it dead.Replaced those dead capacitors ur tv power will stable again and work.Or tires websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whloe refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

MOST LG PROBLEMS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INVERTER BOARD AND THE INVERTER BOARD WILL NOT CAUSE THE PICTURE T FREEZE. THE 2 MOST COMMON PROBLEMS ARE THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD ( DEFECTIVE CAPACITORS) AND THE MAIN TOTAL ASSY. THE DESCRIBED PROBLEM ABOVE OF PUTTING A FAN ON THE UNIT IS A TEMPORARY FIX. No,only universal remotes can operate other tvs.But if u have a not popular tv brand,best to buy the original remotes.Tries Website 1-800-Remotes Factory original to buy an exact remotes.

try getting some spray air and using it on the remote to get any dust particles out this will help some times to fix this type of problem

you should be able to get and kind of universal remote to fix this problem I have done this with many different kinds of products and got great results hope this helps

There are no fans in this model but it looks like either the backlights in the screen are breaking down after they have warmed up or a problem in the inverter board, again part of the driver circuit breaking down after a period of time. They inverter boards can sometimes be replaced seperatly but usually come with a new screen which if the backlights are at fault then the screen would need to be replaced.

You can check that in the menu.
To change it, you have to be fast.

Maybe the remote has some keys that are stuck together on the membrane pad. Take the batteries out of the remote, then turn the TV on again see if the menu problem is still happening. Also check the menu button on the TV see if it is stuck by pressing it a few times.......

If all seems ok but still have the same problem, then the the keypad board in the TV needs to be checked for intermittent shorts or opens. If the keypad board is good then the main board needs troubleshooting. This seems like an EEPROM problem, you may want to test that first on the main board.
