Your power supply have bad caps on it, you tube has many video showing how to repair and what bulging caps look like.

have u check the s-tcon board , i had the same problem before and the s-tcon board was the problem , look for a fuse this fuse normally open thats way u have blank screen because there is no video info fron the s-tcon board

Try using codes for a Funai or Daewoo.

Most of these universal remotes have a method for searching for the tv - they also have a list of possible codes that you can try. Did you do any of that? You should be able to get a copy of their user guide off the internet if you don't have it anymore.

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

it sounds like your power supply is the issue. It could be a capacitor, a rely, or the high voltage transistor.

Check the power supply module for voltages first.

The glass is the cover of the lcd screen itself. You would have to replace the screen and that will cost as much or more than a new tv.
It won't be covered by warranty as LG will claim user abuse but you would or should be able to get replacement parts.The problem is that replacement parts are priced around 3-4 times more than the same part used to build the tv in the first place so it will not be cheap. It's still worth checking with LG but don't expect to see a good/cheap price.

I dont know if this will help as I have the sentry rmc 30 smaller remote control but I scanned the directions into the computer for others to use including the codes.

Check connections on ribbon cables, by pushing then in real good. Fixed mine.

Power board is dead,must replaced parts like capacitors puff up or burst open.Or replaced the whole power board.The websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com have reburbish power board part.

No,not buy able LCD screen,because LCD Screen is the most expensive in the tv.Tv compannies well not sell them out cheap,only as same as a new tv.
