The power went out yesterday

Hello,
I found the manual for your oven HERE. I have looked all through the manual and can find no indication of "CAL". The recommended practice by the manufacturer is to press "Cancel". If the condition persists, throw the breaker to the unit 'OFF', wait for several minutes for the machine to reset then return the breaker to the 'ON' position. If the condition is not corrected by these methods, they do not give any further instruction other than to call a qualified repair person to service the machine.
If this does not work, I sincerely hope that someone else may give the answer as this is my best advice.

Best to you
Joe

I'm going to install the fourth electronic circut

Hi. There are three main causes for main circuit board or PCB failure, in this case. I will list them below:

1. Excessive power surge(outages) or pulse issue within the home electrical layout.
2. Faulty or defective line of supplied PCB or main circuit boards manufactured by the provider.(Investigate the manufacture for results of a recalled board bulletin or known defective parts that may include this actual board you are having issues with)
3. Bad or defective wiring within the unit, itself.
4. Improperly installed board or main connections could be crossed.

The main area of concern will be the wiring and connecting contacts. Make sure that the entire main harness is in good shape and not ripped or exposed to surrounding metal. Check the terminal block for corrosion and loose connections. This is a very important area to check, due to the fact that, all main electrical power is introduced to the unit, via this location.

Oven heats to 185 degrees in a hour on preheat

Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

Model SVD48600 door won't open

That is a very complicated unit for the average handyman. It has electronic controls and a relay board, sensors and a locking mechanism. First thing I would check is the locking mechanism and the switch on it. Do this first and let me know if you find one of the switches defective or shorted. While there, check the light switch which is bi-functional being used for the light and also to tell the ERC the door is opened or closed.

Jenn-Air self-cleaning ovens have a special setting that allows you to clean the oven without chemicals or scrubbing. The oven heats to a temperature higher than used for cooking. The intense heat burns food spills and other residue off oven's inner surfaces.

Instructions
1. Remove the broiler pan and any utensils to prevent them from being damaged. Take out the oven racks, since the high heat might discolor them.
2. Wet a cleaning cloth or sponge with hot water and detergent. Wash off splatters or spills from areas that won't be affected by the cleaning process, including the oven door liner and the oven's front frame. Wipe up any excess grease or spills on the oven floor.
3. Close the oven door and press the "clean" pad on the unit's touch pad.
4. Enter the amount of cleaning time. For example, two hours is appropriate for a lightly soiled oven, three for average and four for heavily soiled. Cleaning should start immediately. The oven will remain locked during the cycle.
5. To delay cleaning, hit the "stop time" pad and enter the desired stop time. For example, if it is 9 p.m. and you want the oven to clean for three hours starting at 10 p.m., key in the numbers 1,0,0.
6. While the cleaning function operates, use the scouring pads to wash the oven racks and other utensils. Once the cycle ends and the oven unlocks and cools, you can use a damp cloth to pick up any loose or burnt debris inside. Replace the racks, broiler pan and utensils.

Can't release door after cleaning

Hi,

Sorry you are having trouble, unfortunately this is not an easy one to fix.

If the oven is cold then the sensor is telling the control it that oven is still hot or the control is stuck in the hot position.

There is not an easy way to unlock the oven without pulling the unit out and taking the top off to get to the latch.

I have attached a link to the service manual if you wish to attempt it.

If not I would suggest turning off the circuit breaker to the oven and letting it sit overnight. See if that will reset the issue, if not you will have a big job ahead of you or a costly repair.

Sorry I do not have good news for you on this one.

Unfortunately this seems to be a problem with several of the jenn air models. I have replaced quite a few and have also talked to thier tech line for servicers and they don't have anything else to offer other than replacing the control board. Each time I ran across one I found no other problems and I tested everything. If you replace 3 times you can usually get them to give you a new one.
