Possible lamp but: Mitsubishi TV troubleshooting Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds. The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence. For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37. Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem: 12 = No error detected, check power supply. 32 = Lamp Cover is open. 33 = Air filter cover is open. 34 = Lamp abnormality 36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped) 37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped 38 = Lamp Temperature High 39 = DMD Temperature High 41 = Short is detected 44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

Yes,replaced it with another brand new lamp the same exactly as the original lamp was inside the tv when it was purchase,if u still have the same problems. Then ur tv the main projection unit is defective. This kind of problems, than the tv it is not worth repairing.Because the CPU projection unit cost about 70% of the tv.

Also have stars about 5 just did bulb 6 months ago color wheel a month in to owner ship 4 years ago

Issue is most likely with the optical light engine the model listed here uses, no mystery and very common issue.

Cant play my ps3... i have hdmi cord and when ever i put it on hdmi1 it shows a blue screen that blinks on and off occasionally. My tv is a Mitsubishi WD-65733

The clue here would be if you had a HD box etc that also uses HDMI to see if it works there or not----and does it work on another HDMI (set ought to have two of them?) If something other than the game will not work on that input the socket is damaged---most of these sets if that happens the board it is on has to be REPLACED.

What's your problem?I have a mitsubishi wd-65733. Previously replaced bulb a year ago. Current problems: As of a month ago white spots are accumulating on screen (which I'm aware of dmd chips

Replace the optical engine---the chip if you can find it is over 200 and not something real easy to replace.

Keeps blowing bulbs. Last one lasted 17 days

check the ballast leads which enter the rear of the lamp compartmnent they can tend to get pushed in slightly and prevent a good connection to the lamp. If the connections all look good then the lamp driver (ballast) is most likely defective
