My WD 57733 will attempt to power up (almost like a whistling sound as it attempt to power up) then will power back down.

When was the last time you replaced the lamp? That sort of sounds like the ballast is unhappy with a bad lamp. The 57733 is a good TV. The other possibility is a stuck/dirty color wheel. Check the lamp and see if it looks worn out(dark or grey in the tube down the center). Also make sure its either a Philips brand or Osram brand. Let me know and Ill see what I can recommend next

I have a 60 inch mitsubishi flat screen n i

Sorry tv not repairable, the picture screen panel is broken or damages. The tv picture screen panel are 90% important to the tv and it is limited in production by the tv corporations,no where u can buy tv picture screen panel except the tvs corporations themselves.By replacing the tv picture panel, will cost the same as a new tv,by replacing the picture screen panel alone, because of it limited production and important to the tv itself.Sorry this not worth as a whole tv anymore, now tv only as salvages tv for it electronic boards for parts only now.

Mitsubishi 57733 won't on at all. No lights or anything

Check fuse in plug , plug into a different socket - check mcb at fusebox - if not then main psu board blown most likely.

There is white spots on screen

not sure if you've figured this out yet or not, but the white spots are casused by a chip in the lamp, that chip would need to be replaced.

Volume on the WD 57733 turns up to full blast by itself. Cannot turn on the mute button using the remote.

volume button on your remote is stuck in the increase position. try another remote if possible or remove the remote batteries so you can atleast use the TV manually

Just replaced the lamp in my 57 in mitsubishi now i am getting dead pixels What can I do?

not very much, this is rather common, the light engine or the display chip in the the light engine, the so called DLP chip can be replaced but its not cheap, cheaper than the whole engine but not cheap------also some with this will gradually get more and more pixels out.....

52 mitsubishi has small white dots of light that dont go away on most of the screen

Mitsubishi is replacing these DMD IC chips nationwide under an unannounced kind of recall for model #'s WD60C9, WD73733, WD57734, WDY657, WD73734, WD65735, WD60735, WD65C9, WD73840, WD65833, WD65733, WD73735, WD73833, WD57733, WD65734 and others. Call them @ 800-332-2119 and give them your model, serial # and date of purchase, tell them you have the white spots, they will set up a workorder with a local Mitsubishi servicer to come to your home and replace the DMD chip. Mitsubishi will supply the part (part # 276P595010) for free, but you must pay $200 in labor. BUT...if you ask for Shantell Hebert when you call Mitsubishi, and really push the issue, she will also pay half of the $200 labor fee, so you go from $400 to repair to only $100. Once that chip is replaced, the unit works great again!!

Flashing timer light on a mitsubishi wd-57733

Good day!!!!That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..1. Open the back cover of your TV.2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Can you repair a dlp chip

It can be done if you can locate the right one (figure average 200 plus for part) but if a issue like dots etc better to get a replacement light engine and be done with it.Sometimes a "cheap" fix is not really a good one as replacing the display chip will not cure all issues.
