IRobot 560 does not return

You need to put the charging station in an easily accessible area, since the roomba doesn't know where it is if it's in another room. The roomba needs to be quite close to it to be able to detect it. When its battery runs low the roomba will zigzag around at random until it detects the charging station.

Roomba keeps saying clean brushes yet are clean!

Remove the Yellow connectors on the end of the brushes and clean around the pin well. If there is too much there, the roomba thinks there is something stuck and goes into clear mode (as if there is a chord stuck).

Roomba 560 fully charges. Runs for 2 seconds fully green and just stops. And lights up red.????

Set him on the floor, after powering him off and then back on, and press the "Clean" button three times. This will reset him.

My Rooma 500 series, when I press the start button to go....it sounds like it wants to move forward and the sings a song and doesn't move

I agree with the previous poster, every time you run Romba, you have to empty out the dirt compartment, take the beater brushes off and pull the hair, lint and thread off the brushes (if you use a cat or dog brush this works fantastically) and remove the lint that's wrapped around the ends of the beater brushes. Every other time, you need to remove the thread and hair wrapped around the rotating brush (sometimes you need to remove the Phillips head screw holding this on and really clean it out). Finally the rolling ball wheel needs to be popped out using a narrow, small screwdriver and all the stuff trapped in there removed.

My Roomba 500 series, when I press it to start, it wants to and then makes a singing song and does not go forward

Be sure that you clean the brushes and wheels under the unit. If they have material wrapped around them the unit will not proceed.

Roomba not charging for long

More than likely needs a new battery. Does this one have a charging station? Have you cleaned Roomba lately, brushes and all.

My cousin has a Roomba vacuum like mine and her 50 lb 13 year old dog had an accident otherwise known as **** that her Roomba went over and over repeatedly while she was at her daughters house watchin

If it as my Roomba,.....,with a pair of latex gloves on and outdoors I'd open the bottom compartment and take the two spinning brushes out. Depending on how wet or dry the dog deposit is, with wet I'd put my hose on power spray and hose the two brushes clean, then soak in a bleach solution. If dry, I'd leave them in the sun to further dry and then try getting the dry majority off with a stick or brush. When the majority is off, power spray the brushes and soak them in bleach water solution. Dry brushes ASAP and with a bunch of wet wipes clean out the area around the brushes underneath. If it somehow got into the filter compartment, you've got a lot more difficult a job to clean. You don't want to get water into the motor or fan in the filter compartment. Did you get a spare set of parts, etc. with yours? If so you might just want to toss out and replace with a clean set.

My robot wont work even with a new battery

Once of the problems with batteries is they tend to corrode the metal contacts. Try lightly scraping on the metal battery contacts inside the Roomba and also on the battery with a small screwdriver...this creates a clean surface and allows conduction between the battery and the Roomba.

Roomba560 goes a few feet hits something get stuck and turns off

Does the Roomba say anything after it hits something? Mine usually says to reposition it or somesuch message. Mine will run up on a towel left on the floor, get stuck, say to reposition it and then if we don't, he shuts off. The thing with Roombas is they have to be cleaned after one or two runs. I think that's probably your problem. Take the filter compartment off, empty it out, pop the filter off and shake that into the trash. Press the two yellow plastic (on mine) release latches and take the brushes off. Remove the hair, thread and dental floss wrapped around the brushes and caught around the ends. We just added another dog to our house and I have to clean Roomba at least 33% more often now. Get a thin screw driver and insert it in the side to pop out the axle attached to the black and white roller ball. Hair gets trapped in here and the ball can't turn as well. Wipe off the two sensors on either side of this ball.

I have 2 I robot roomba cleaners they charge but

Hi. It depends on where you are in the world. Companies in the US repair them and so do I in the UK.

But if you are using a new battery and same issue, then the power button is at fault.

How do I clean the gear box?

By gear box do you mean the inside of Roomba or do you mean the latched brush section on the bottom? You can open the two latches and clean the brushes after taking them out. You can pop out the white/black ball wheel and clear the hair and thread that catches in there. You can unscrew the screw that holds the spinning white brushes and clear the stuff out of there. You can take out the filter compartment and remove all the screws to really clean that out. I started to open up the main compartment of Roomba to clean it out and stopped when it got more complicated. I know there's probably stuff in there, but so much gets caught on everywhere else that there's little left to get into the inner gearing, in my opinion.

Why My Rroomba 560 collects the dirt and after 2 or 3 circles gives it back on the floor. What is wrong?

Sounds like it's picking up the dirt, running it around the brushes and dumping it back out after one full circuit. I would check to see if anything big is caught in the brushes and preventing dirt from going into the filter compartment. Do you need to empty out the filter compartment and shake out or change the dust filter? If the filter is too clogged, dust won't get pulled into this compartment because there's no air passing through the filter to draw air.
