I have a new Sony BDP-S300 and a Bose Cinemate system. I want to use the Universal Remote from Bose for the TV, Cable and Blu-Ray but I cannot find a compatible code for the Sony Blue-Ray, BDP-S300 to enter into my remote. Can anyone help me?
i have new Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray disc player. i want to connect it to E-net and some other devices, Camcoder, Pc, Laptop. i have got all HD ready cables,

Hello,
I have just recently bought a Sony Blu Ray player (BDP-S300) and it doesn't play region 1 dvds. Do any of you guys know how I would get the unlock code for it?

I think we have accidentally put the Sony DVP-S330 DVD player into a dealer lock setting. The disk that is in the player now plays fine, and all functions work, but when we try the Open button the display reads "LOCKED" and the drawer will not open. The owner's manual and the Sony web site only say to check with the dealer or repair center when this happens. From reading here and at other sites, I think we are stuck in a dealer lock setting, which allows a dealer to put the machine on display with a disk playing and prevent customers in the store from removing the disk. I've tried unplugging the machine and leaving it unplugged for 15 minutes. I've tried holding Open & Power & Return all at once, and a few other key combinations, but nothing has worked yet. display says locked, drawer won't open

I would like to control my new Sony BDP S350 Bluray player using a universall remote control. After searching the web I cannot find any site that helps provide this. It's like Sony is keeping it a secret. If you can help I would appreciate it.

There are some 3 digit codes for sony DVD players but no one is working with the bluray player. Is there a special code which is not in the list? If anyone know something please help me

I have a sony bdp-s550.The inst book does not list a code for the remote to turn on a visio tv
I put the Mitsubishi code, 04 as well for my visio 22 inch LCD. Worked just fine now!

You will require either hacked firmware on a CD-RW or a key sequence input via your remote control or via a PDA with infrared capabilties

won't play disc "cannot operate this disc" "cannot play back this disc" on blu ray discs
I was able to fix this on my BDP-S350 by resetting to factory defaults and pulling the power cord on the system. It takes approximately 1 minute for the capacitor to completely drain the power. Once I replugged and powered up the system I was able to play a disc that minutes before had said "cannot operate this disc." Hope that helps.

what is reference code 300 ? on my blue ray s570
it means that netflix is down right now. Netflix problably got hacked in one way or another... or they might just be doing maintenance or something like that. On the bright side, your player is fine.
that is unless your pandora and hulu and others are not working too...if nothing is working then your usb device may be overheated or connection down.
