Unfortunately there is no way to reset the electronics on this type of cartridge so your printer will always think they are empty. If the light flashes and you can still print, then just ignore the flashing. If your printer won't allow you to print, then the cartridge electronics must be bad. If the electronics are bad, there is nothing you can do to rescue the cartridge and you need to get a new one. I would return the cartridge to where you purchased it from and instead see if you have a Cartridge World store in your area. These stores would not sell you a refilled cartridge with bad electronics.

Can you specify which error it is giving you?

HiCheck for paper jam on your printer.Look through the paper paths and remove any obstructions.Try turning the printer off and on.Disconnect it from power and then re-connect after a while.

Open the printer with the four corner screws. reviews the large gear on the left, must be fixed to the shaft, or gear swept the break with use. Any of these 2 solutions can help you, are most common. another may also be that the rubber is worn separation, this is a line of orange or green you can see from the back when you remove the paper guide, if the rubber has a wear mark, ideally change or lowering the mark with friction. Are you sure in printing or copying?.. If its copying its CCD(scan head)faulty.. if you are getting in printing trailing cable faulty.(the cable carried data from the logic boar to carriage pcb)

Double check all doors/ rollers for small pieces of paper stuck in the rollers. Sometimes just opening the door in question and closing will reset the paper jam sensors. Paper jams can be smaller than your pinky finger nail. So double check,Comment if it still isn't working.

Go to File > Print Preview and at the top of the screen that pops up there is a place where you can bring up a drop down list which lets you choose shrink to fit as well as a wide variety of percentage increases or decreases. If this doesn't help go to File>Print> and then click on Preferences on the screen that comes up check your printers settings. Don't forget to look at what size paper the printer thinks you are using and see if your printer has settings for how many pages to fit onto the document. Let me know if this was helpful.

and by selecting the operating system you are using.

So now you need to download the utilities from www.hp.com......the one you will need is the printer printing utilities ...this helps clear printing errors.....(Drivers and support should be what you looking for...)

Check both ends of the power cord (the end connected to the printer might not be in all the way).

Also check to see if the same outlet works for other electronics.

If not, then you have a problem with the outlet not the printer.

Normally all you have to do is have power on unit and have it switched on.
lift the whole top of machine up (from the paper tray upwards) its hinged from back.
As you lift up the inks move to the removal position.
You have to push down on front edge of cartridge and it unclips.
