VCR combo?? I had to check the date on this post to see if it was from 1990. Do you still view VCR recordings? If not, then trash it and get a DVD player. I've seen them for less than $20 new.

if when you push LOCK button on remote red key and lock display should disappear?

ok,uve gone OUT of cam and IN to VCR player?,then press play on cam and record on VCR,u should see whats recording as long as your on your normal video channel

purshase new remote.

First make sure your cables are hooked up correctly. they are color coded which helps a great deal. Make sure the red and white cables are hooked up from the DVD (audio out) to the (audio in) on the TV If this does not help, make sure your cablea are good and not broken. If still no sound, I would try cleaning the disc player with a lasor lense cleaner. If this did not fix it, I would get a new player, these are just to cheap to have them fixed.

if you tried to clean your heads with a vhs head claener,, they do more harm than good so you probable have your video heads worst than before please have a tv repairman clean them for you as he must open the unit to do it good luck

Here is how to Make your Pioneer DV-310 regionfree.
Use this link and go there.

Search for file YJA8703A almost in the bottom under DV-310.
Download and burn on CD with nero,make sure the CD is being closed after burning.
The just mount the CD in your DVD player and press play.
#1. Press upgrade.
#2. Wait,don´t touch anything now.
#3. The tray will open after about 5-10 sec,take out CD.
#4. Player will uppgrade under about 1-2 minut,then the tray will close by it self,and the player says "CLEAR".
#5.And now here is the secret. When player says "CLEAR" ,push and HOLD the"enter button on THE PLAYER until it turns off(about 5 sec).
And there you go,standing infront of your brand new Multi regional Pioneer DV-310.

hold down the stop button for 5 - 10 seconds, should get rid of it. Dont have any dvd in though. Make sure its empty.
