I tried to unlock my SGH-A707 phone by this code #7465625*638*59258259* (the unlock code 59258259 was given by the store in California were it was bought) , but what came out is "Phone Freeze SIM Unavailable Please Contact Service Provider". Can you kindly help me unlock my phone. Thank you very much
After MUCH research, going to a local unlocker, calling AT&T and reading extensively about this online, I found the best solution:
1. Call Samsung Technical Support for Mobile phones: 888-987-HELP
2. Choose the right tele-prompt options that forward you to a live agent (ie do not choose PIN lock code or PUK code or such as they wont connect you)
3. Explain to the agent you have a "PHONE LOCK" and that no code will work an ATT told you to send it in to be "RE-FLASHED"
4. They take down your info, name address etc. and give you an RMA number. Follow the instructions to the TEE. Send in the phone (without batter and back cover to the address they give you in Plano, TX).
5. MAKE SURE to write the RMA number on the front and back of package.
6. Get your phone back like brand new!

phone is working fine got it from girlfriendbut i want to lock some calls and messages but she cant remember the password she used.
HOW TO FACTORY RESTORE YOUR PHONE.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!
open up your phone and type it EXACTLY like shown. it should look like you are attempting to make a call.
BEWARE!!!!!!!!
this WILL delete everything on it and revert it to factory settings, so i recommend that you save everything off it, and upload ALL your contacts to your SIM. to do that:
1. open up the address book
2. options
3. OPTION 13: COPY TO SIM _OR_ OPTION 14: MOVE TO SIM
when that is done, punch in the code.
you should get some text saying not to do anything and that it will reset when its done [note the improper grammar, haha :)]
thats it!
remember that it WILL DELETE EVERYTHING off of your phone, so i HIGHLY recommend that you back everything up onto a memory card.

I have been using this cell phone for about a month now - no problems. Yesterday, I noticed I cannot receive or make any phone calls. It says "Emergency calls only." My bill is paid/account is still open (my wife's cell works fine), I just cannot make or receive any calls! All the functions on the phone are fine too. Any thoughts?
I've received the same error on a couple of occasions. Most times the problem has been fixed just turning off and then back on. If not, turn off, remove the battery for one or two minutes then replace and turn back on.

DO NOT TRY MORE THAN TWICE ... u can only do 3 attempts .. if the third don't work u will freeze your phone
Unlocking the Sync Instructions
The idea is that you are changing your phone's 8-digit unlock code to all zero's.
(1)Turn off your phone and remove the sim card.
(2)Then power the phone back on.
(3)Enter the following numbers on the keypad: *2767*3855# this will restart your phone,
(4)When your phone has restarted and powered back on you will enter the following into the keypad *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
If your phone says wrong password, turn your phone off and put in an
unaccepted Sim Card into the phone (A sim card from another Service
Provider) and then start the process over again. If it says wrong
password even with the wrong Sim card, then you have reached your
second attempt, Do NOT try it again. Instead, go to Ebay and purchase
an unlock code.
(5)NEXT ENTER #7465625*638*00000000#
(6)AND THEN *#7465625# to check the locks....all locks should now be inactive or Off
If you find that some of your locks are still turned on, now
that you know your phone's unlock code, (00000000) you can use the
following codes to unlock individual locks on your phone (Where you see
the word Code you will put in your new unlock code, which is now

I dropped my phone and now my internal screen is completed busted and I can't see anything but black and random specks of color. I can still dial and make calls as well as receive calls and text messages. However, b/c I can't see my screen, I can't read any of my text messages. I'm going to get a new phone in a couple weeks, but I still want to be able to know what my texts say. Is there any program I can download that'll allow me to read them on my computer? I have a the USB cord for the phone and my computer is a macbook.
any help would be appreciated.
I broke my screen too and this is what i did to read them:
my friend has the same menu as me (both verizon users) and so held his phone in one hand and my broken on in the other. then what ever i did on his phone i did with my phone.
I basically went into my inbox (blindly basically) and individually forwarded the messages to his phone...after i read them, i replied in the same manner using my phone.
Its kind of alot of work, its worth it and it gets the job done...I could read my texts!

Hello my problem is when I dropped my phone, the screen went all white, and doesn't display any other function, but the phone still works, I can dial, open the menu, but I can't see anything on the screen, its just white. Please help.
have the LCD/screen replace...take it to a mobile tech and have that done.

My daughter has lost the instruction book that came with the phone. I'm now using the phone that used to be hers. I want to change the ringtone, but can't figure out how.
menu, settings, profiles, options, edit...and you should figure it out from there...if not, post another thingy. yeah.

I have the USB cable that connects the phone to computer, and my computer recognizes the new hardware, but it appears that I need a software program to allow the WP computer to read the photos in the Samsung. Is this true? If so, any suggested programs. I tried without success to get a Samsung program.
