ideally, you wouldn't recahrge the battery until it's completely flat. If you're charging it before then, you can mess with the battery, and it forgets how to retain charge.

Try letting it go completely dead, then cahrging it for around four hours completely. (don't disconnect it during this time). Let it run until it dies again, and repeat the process over a few times. You should find that after a couple times, it works fine, and you can get up to three days of battery life if you don't use it a lot.

Unlocked simply means you can use it on any service provider's network.

You need to approach your provider for the settings to use internet, as the phone may have been set up for someone different before you. Unfortunately, thee are limited wallpapers in the phone, however you can change that by downloading pictures, or putting your own images on the memory card and selecting "set as wallpaper".

As for the battery, make sure you are only charging it when it's completely flat. You should get three days (max) out of it if you rarely use the phone.

I had this problem when i first got my razr. Sometimes it works, you just need to hold down the power button again, and wait a while. It took me two or three tries to get it.

The icon you're talking about just refers to whether you're on the EDGE network, or GPRS, or 3G. It doesn't affect your battery life at all. You don't even really need to worry about it, perhaps your grandson just turned the setting on which enables the phone to see what different signals are around.

when the phone is closed (folded shut), have the back of the phone facing you. place a thumb each side of the M symbol in the centre (may be at&t symbol, or verizon), and slide upwards. It's actually easy once you figure it out, but i had this problem too.

If there is a memory card in the phone then you can take it out and put it in a memory reader. Or you can plug your phone with a usb cable into pc and go to my computer so you can see it. It will instal by its self if its Windows Xp or Vista.

Hi there. I have the V8 I think, the blueish black phone. Anywho.. I'm pretty sure the touch screen is only for the music player. If you press the sidekeys while your phone is shut, you can view messages that have just been received and also give a quick reply from what is stored in the phone. You can also switch what kind of sound profile you're in. Mess around with it, I'm sure you'll figure it out. But again, as far as my phone goes I can only use the touch screen for music. i face d same problem....solution for this is u hve to buy s software & tool cd of d phone....n thn just insert d disk install d software..now u can access d memory card...n that cd contain so many other tools n software..try this out..i m sure this ll work

close the phone, put your thumbs on the back panel at about the seam, this panel slides up toward the hinge. it'll only slide a fraction of an inch, then you can pop it off.

Hi, I don't think it has the function to set for individual days but as an alternative you could try going in to the calendar and setting up a date/time and setting up a reminder alert. You can change the alert to custom time of your own. i.e 1 minute prior. not ideal as more fiddley way AND you would think such a phone would have function to set alarm for other days. anyway hope this helps.

animated images are called .gif images, upon checking here,
it only supports static mms or static gif images

remove your sim for about 5 minutes then put back in.. hope this will work..
