F43 error on Frigidaire Wall Ovn?

The code F43 means - The cooling fan speed, as read by the tachometer input of the EOC-display board, is abnormally too slow. when the cooker is on can you feel the fan is on through the upper vent? If not then the fan is the problem if you can then the fan sensor is the problem!

Lower element of upper oven

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

It indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My top oven shows F1

The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced

Oven not heating KitchenAid KERC506HWH3

Built-in ovens have a thermal fuse mounted in the back of the oven preventing the bake and broil from operating. In some cases this fuse will open after a self clean operation. In some models, the cooling fan turns off too soon, causing an overtemperature condition that may also cause the fuse to open. You will have to remove the oven and take off the back panel to gain access to this device.

Frigidaire Double oven PLEB30T8AC

The best way for you to check is to swap with other element since they use the same one. FRIST turn the breaker off! Then take out the 2 screws on the element. The wires unplug, make sure they don't go back in the holes or the oven may have to come out to find them. You can pull the element out and take it to a parts house to see if they can check it with a ohm meter for you if you don't want to pull both of them out.

How do I replace the probe

Yes and no the reason they ask you to cut them is the lenght of the wire does affect some of the probes (thermistor) it reads resistence and the longer the wire the more it will read if you want it to be for sure your model is this type do it the right way and pull the oven if you want to cut it in place then try the oven like that if you are happy with the temps then leave it the reason the wire wont pull out the is a zip strap holding it in the wire bundle behind the back wall.Hope this helps

My frigidaire ovens broiler came on, on high, when i was baking at a very low temp (170).

If your Frigidaire oven's broiler unexpectedly turned on while you were baking at a low temperature, it could indicate an issue with the oven's temperature control system. Here are a few possible explanations and troubleshooting steps:
  1. Incorrect oven setting: Double-check that you have selected the correct oven function and temperature settings. Ensure that you have chosen the "bake" function rather than the "broil" function. Also, verify that the temperature setting is appropriate for baking.
  2. Malfunctioning temperature sensor: The oven's temperature sensor, also known as the oven thermostat, could be faulty. A malfunctioning sensor may send incorrect temperature readings to the oven control board, causing it to activate the broiler unexpectedly. Consider contacting a professional technician to inspect and potentially replace the temperature sensor if necessary.
  3. Control board issue: The oven control board, which regulates various oven functions, could be experiencing a malfunction. If the control board is sending incorrect signals to the broiler, it may activate when it shouldn't. Consult a professional technician to assess and repair the control board if needed.
  4. Wiring or electrical problem: Inspect the oven's wiring and electrical connections for any signs of damage or loose connections. Faulty wiring or poor electrical connections can cause erratic oven behavior. It's advisable to have a qualified technician examine the electrical components to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Model #FEFL79DSA Frigidaire electric range. 2004 vintage. Last night wife was cooking supper at 350F. After half hour she noticed sizzling sound which was not normal.

Based on the information provided, it seems like there may have been a problem with the oven's thermostat or temperature sensor. It's possible that these components malfunctioned, causing the oven to continue heating beyond the set temperature. Since the issue seems to have resolved itself and the oven is currently functioning properly, it's difficult to determine the exact cause of the problem. However, if the issue occurs again, it's important to have a professional technician inspect and repair the oven to ensure that it operates safely and efficiently. Intermittent issues can be difficult to diagnose and can potentially be dangerous, so it's important to take any signs of malfunction seriously and address them promptly.
