Frigidaire FGB24S5A Gas Single Oven - Page 3 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
The time blinks at 12:00, there is a beeping
Hi.
The beeping sound is a warning because the oven is in lock condition, or because a fault had been detected. In this last case there would be an error code or something unusual.
Push and hold the Clock button for about 10 seconds, that will reset the oven. If that does not work, then trip the circuit breaker for five minutes and hold the button again to reset.
If still no luck, then there may be a fault condition. In that case better calling the Frigidare number listed on the owners manual.
If the oven is two year old , then there may still be warranty cover on parts, one more reason to contact the manufacturer if the oven does not reset.
Try resetting the oven first.
Regards.

Oven light is not working
It is most likely to be the bulb which is faulty.
You should be able to replace it quite easily, nornally the bulb cover will turn anticlockwise and reveal the bulb which you then replace , remember to use a high temperature replacement.

How do you stop the oven from claening cant get
The oven door won't open, until the oven has cooled. If you feel something is wrong with oven turn the main gas valve off for the oven, and call a repair service. If it's electric turn the circuit breaker off in the electrical panel. Don't take any chances.

The oven will not ignite
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. The air
holes on the side of the burner that faces the center of the stove may be
clogged or holes near the oven are clogged which are leading to uncompleted
combustion of the fuel and thus leading to the foul smell. This helps the pilot
or spark igniter to light the gas. Try cleaning the holes with a toothpick.
Heating elements eventually burn
out. Sometimes, when an element burns out, you can see that the coil burns in
too, or blisters and bubbles.
When your heating element burns out, you have to replace it because they are
not repairable. If, when the heating element burns out, the infinite switch
that controls it also fails, you have to replace it too.
Igniter is made up of a crystal
which gets damaged or distorted physically and wont work fine until replaced.
This may lead to incomplete combustion of fuel and is a safety hazard.
Please do rate the solution and
revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

The oven light does not turn off
this could be as easy as a bad switch
or your door might not be closing enough to diengage the light
push the door in with your hand as hard as you can with out pushong through the glass
if the light goes out its your door adjustment or hinges
if it does not,,,
open the door and try the switch by hand
again if it goes out its the door
if not well then it is just your switch
ive included the link so that you can
see how and where it goes as well as order the part
i do hope this helped you out
have a great day

Igniter glows but oven wiil not fire up
Your thermocouple needs replacement. Its the thin tube next to the pilot, it runs alway back to the gas control valve. When it fails the gas valve won't allow the gas to flow. Turn the gass off before begining repairs, and NO OPEN FLAMES OR SMOKING!

My gas frigidaire oven is working, but the top
Hi,
It sounds like you have a faulty solenoid on your FSD (Flame Safeguard Device) This should, when working correctly, allow a small amount of gas through to the burner, if faulty no gas will come through despite being turned on at the control.
It's quite a fiddly job and i would highly recommend a 'Gas Safe' engineer take a look at it for you.
I hope this helps.

I have a gas oven. The flame burns yellow and
I am not sure. However, people in our area of sc, have had burner problems because a local utility added propane to their natural gas because they got it a bargain.
