Kleenmaid has a 10 year warranty, PARTS & LABOR ! so in my professional opinion, you shouldn't repair it yourself, you simply need to call them and make an appointment for a FREE parts & labor. Of course, IF it is OVER 10 years old, then maybe you may wish to try.

have a look, copy/paste at that link above, it is the guarantee site.

I have also included the below "Fix" this may or may NOT have anything to do with your problem however, you would be amazed just how many problems are sorted, with the doing of the "Remedy"...

Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You shouldNEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.

Will not complete wash cycle

I had the same problem. It tried to start every few seconds when draining. I made sure there was nothing jammed in the motor, it was clean. I checked the resistance of the two windings and they were about the same. I thought it was the relay on the board but after changing it there was no improvement. I connected power directly to the motor and it just hummed. I then realized it was probably the starter capacitor. I swapped the wires between the drain and washing windings and started the motor in the diagnostic mode and it ran. While looking at the starter caps on the board I realized one was loose. I re-soldered both starter caps and it works fine.

My jdb1250awr has an odor

Select a short wash cycle and start the machine. As soon as it fills with water and starts washing, open the door and add 1 cup of white vinegar.
Then resume the wash cycle.
When that cycle finishes repeat the process EXCEPT this time add 1/2 cup bleach.

Jenn air jdb8910 does nothing

Had a similar problem with mine a few weeks ago. It was intermittent in not working on delay. My first thought was that the close switch was not working. Upon disassembling the door, and fiddling with the switch, I heard some sizzling on one of the circuit boards. A little more digging revealed some cold solder joints on a couple of board mounted relays.

I removed the board, re-soldered the loose relays, and everything has worked fine since.
