We set self clean mode

I had set the oven to clean and my husband came into the kitchen and thought is was on bake and turned it off. I tired to put it on clean again and it would not clean. He tried to set it on bake and the door won't close or the oven heat. How do we reset all of this. Thanks,

Model JDR8895 the setting to clean keeps beeping

unplugging it for an hour will force a hard reset and may help this issue. if it does not then the controller brain is most likely bad and will need to be replaced. let me know if you have any more question. good luck

We accidentally locked our Jenn Air Slide In and

I used a long screwdriver between top of door and top of range. Used a flashlight to see the latch, then pushed the catch out of the way. Probably not the most appropriate way, but it worked!!

Jenn air s136 stove won,t self clean

You've probably already read pages 34 through 37 of the owners manual for this oven. We had this stove in the house we bought and the owner wrote in his own directions, which seem to work fine:

1. Turn knob selector to clean.
2. Turn temp knob to clean.
3. Close and lock door.
4. Push enter button and turn dial clockwise to desired time.
5. Push enter button again.

You've probably already tried this, but just in case I figured I'd pass it along.

Oven takes extremly long time

you need to get a new heating element to replace your old one. this is classic for ovens with faulty or damaged elements. an appliance store would be able to source one for you, or you could contact the company direct (jenn-air) for a new heating element.
they replace very easy, usually plugged into the oven so just need pulled forwards and unclipped from the top

Is there a number in either the model or serial #

yes the serial number has the date code on the first 2 letters, but you have to have the maytag code to know how to read it. if you post it here i can look it up for you.
if it looks like perfect condition, yo might be able to sell it for around $150-200 dollars. used ranges are not in high demand and so they wont bring much money to sell them used.

Baking element replaced but still won't heat

you may have triped half your 220v breaker. (you should have shut it off when reparieng wire or it would have been live and zaped you) Or something in line with the wire that shorted blew out like a fuse in the range.
