Had this EXACT same problem the day before a party where I needed the oven for lots of baking.... Tried all sorts of things, was about to call a repair man- I FINALLY got it to open by following the first two directions for putting it into self clean mode (turned both knobs to CLEAN), then when it said to lock door I tried to move the lock lever and bam it worked! What is the model number listed on the unit? Look in the door area.

This is a common problem with Jenn-Air and Maytag that I have found. There is no way to brighten the display and usually requires the replacement of the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board. I think this may have something to do with the placement of the board and possibly being damaged by heat from the oven over a period of time. Do you do a lot of baking? Do you use the self-clean mode for your oven a lot? These seem to be contributors to these boards failing like they do. I know of one person who has replaced the EOC 6 times on the same stove. I don't know if this is the advice you were looking for, but I hope it helps you.

Try turning the breaker off to the unit for an hour and then try to use it again. Keep me posted.

mine did the same thing kept beeping and flashing prb, solution was it was mounted very close to the frame of wall and house must of shifted causing the wires on the outside to make contact with each other. adjusted the unit and beeping stopped .

You have a faulty EOC board and it will need to be replaced. Here is the part to order. To replace the board, remove the front display cover to access the EOC.

when you checked the elements for continuity did you remove at least one of the wires off of it,if not it will check good.if the elements are good,unplug it,pull it out and remove the back wall so you can get at the wires,plug it back in and make sure you're getting 240 volts to the bake element and 120 volts to the broil,if you have 240 volts coming to the machine at the plug and you don't have 240 at the bake element check for broken wire,if wires are good you have a bad clock assy. the relay on the computer board is bad and you'll have to change out the clock assy. unfortunitly you can't get this clock anymore but you can send it out to have it rebuilt,go here and get info,hope this helpshttp://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Oven-Control-Board/71002331/695629
