Freezer is collecting ice in the bottom and don't

If you remove all the ice from the freezer floor, pull the bottom bin out and look at the freezer wall there should be a trough with the drain in it. If you can't see the trough you'll need to take all the shelfs out and remove the back panel from the frezer. Once you do that you'll see an aluminum evaporator coil and below that you'll be able to see the trough and the drain hole. Remove the ice from the trough, located the drain hole and using a hair dryer, hot water, or a screw driver, clear the ice from the drain. If you use a screw driver be careful not to knock a hole in the line. Once water can flow freely down the drain your done. Leaking water from bottom of refrigerator/freezer

Your drain hole below the evaporator is probably clogged. If you take a cup of hot water and poor it down into the hole most times out of ten it will free itself so you want have to pay anyone to come out and fix it for you. If that does not work you may need to call a tech out so they can look into the issue in more detail. Hope this will work for you.

How do I replace the

Hello,

Ice makers and water dispensers are convenient to have on your refrigerator, but can also cause a lot of aggravation if they are not functioning properly.

If your water valves are not defective and you are still experiencing water or ice delays, you may have a clog in your refrigerator hose line.
Instructions and material needed to fix it up.

  • Towel,Flathead screwdriver,New water hose
  1. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator and place a towel under the line to soak up any residual water that leaks from the hose when you remove it. Unplug the refrigerator.
  2. Disconnect the hose from the back of the refrigerator by pushing in on the collar while pulling the water tube out. If you have a model with an ice and water dispenser, you will need to disassemble the dispenser on the front of the freezer in order to completely remove the water hose.
  3. Remove the water drip tray from beneath the ice/water dispenser and locate the screws at the bottom of the cover (if any). Remove screws and pop off the panel that houses the dispenser. If the unit does not have screws, you will need to pry the cover off with a flat-nosed screwdriver.
  4. Once the cover is removed, you should be able to see the screws that hold the dispenser unit in place. Remove these screws and reposition the unit so you can free the water hose, by pulling it through the dispenser.
  5. Thread the new water line through the freezer door and reassemble dispenser unit. Push the new water hose into the fitting on the back panel, making sure it is properly seated. Turn on water supply and check for any leaks before moving the refrigerator unit back against the wall.
Good Luck and thanks for using fixya.

My refrigerator stop producing ice even though the

Check the tube that goes to the Ice maker mold tray from the back of the freezer compartment. If this tube is filled with ice, then the fill valve for the ice maker is not sealing completely. The very slow flow of water freezes in that tube. It requires that you replace this with a new valve. The valve is located in the bottom section of the rear of the fridge. You will need to remove the cardboard cover to get to it.
The valve assembly on side-by-sides is a combination part that also has the valve to the ice water dispenser on the door. When doing this repair yourself, make sure that replace the cardboard backing on the fridge, as it will not cool properly without it.
Hope this helps,
Best, Mark

My refrigerator is not cooling

If the compressor is running, there may a refrigerant leak and if not the starting relay may have gone bad. if you can fix yourself, check starting relay and capacitor if there is one (capacitor). If you cannot fix yourself, call a serviceman.

Water has stopped flowing to

sounds like you ice maker is shut off. There should be a switch next to ice maker to turn back on. Also look for a lock out feature for the ice maker. It could also be a sticking water solenoid to allow water to enter tray.
