it might be due to scroll speed of mouse going bit high.
to adjust the same...click on start...control panel...mouse icon...mouse properties window would open... click on the pointers tab...adjust the pointer speed setting... this should help in fixing the issue.

Hello; It has to be a button you might have pressed near the mousepad on the notebook. Try clicking that button again, the red light will go off.

Hello i have the same issue on my hp. however ihave been to apple store and used computers there and see this go on. someone on web sight mention mal ware. possible i also have a bar on my laptop i did not install that came off an attempt to down load acrobat flash player, its called v something. v grabber. and ihave gone into add ons etc remove programs and it wont go away.
