Where can I get a --service manual for my svd48600 Jenn-Air oven

the "f" code means that there is a problem with your electronic range control or your "ERC" which is the logic board. sometimes it is simply a loose connect as they tend to be sensitive. Try wiggling the wire connections, with the appliance unplugged of course, and see if that clears up the problem. If not then you need to replace the ERC unit.

How do you use the meat probe

Insert the probe into the center of the meat, in an area where it's likely to cook the slowest. Anything above 63 degrees celcius is considered safe for consumption.

Hi

If neither the bake nor the broiler heating elements heat, but the range burners still works, the clock may be set for a timed or self-cleaning cycle. Check to be sure the clock buttons and knobs are set properly. If your clock has a knob that says "push for man (ual)", push the knob in and try the baking and broiling elements again. If it still does not operate properly, you probably have a defect in the thermostat, selector switch, or common wiring.

If the oven does not have a separate bake/broil/etc. selector switch, the problem may be with the thermostat.

However you may have a failed transistor in control. If code cannot be deleted it is recommended to replace the electronic control or touch pad.

Please get back to us if you have further query or else please accept the solution.

Thanks for contacting fixya.com

Jen-Air model # JES9860BAW, oven

Hello, welcome to FixYa. I understand you have a Jenn-Air range in which the clock/timer is not responding to the commands you are attempting to enter, correct ? Though this can be related to a problem within the touch control or control board (sometimes one in the same ) however when dealing with electronics the first step in ruling out these things is attempting a "reset"...this can be done by unplugging or turning off the power for 3-5 minutes usually. Try that and should it still be non-responsive we can go from there. I'll watch for your reply and continue to provide expert help in any manner I can. Good luck. Regards, Macmarkus :)

Hello,

The FO error codes means that a button on the touchpad has shorted out and teh touchpad needs to be replaced. In some cases you will get that error code because the ribbon cable on the touchpad hasa loose connection at the clock. check that the connection is tight.
The error code can be cleared by pushing the clear/off button,if it returns the touchpad will need to be replaced.

Our oven starts beeping and

The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

Hello,
There is a high limit thermostat that will cut all the power to the upper oven elements. Their is a wiring diagram in this link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Jenn-air-Parts/Wall-oven-Parts/Model-WW2460B/1266/0125300?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=WW2460B

Model: JDS8850AAS -- Oven won't preheat above 150

Hello,

The problem beleive it or not is that the bake ignitor is weak ,and it is not drawing the proper amprage to open the gas valve. If you have a amp meter access the wires to the bake ignitor(usually behind the storage drawer) and check for 3.3-3.6 amps when oven is set to bake by clamping the meter around ONE wire wire of ignitor make sure only one wire, either one and not both.
if amp draw less than 3.3-3.6 amps replace bake ignitor. I know it seems improbable that if the ignotor comes on that it could be the problem.Professional appliance technicians who would charge a average of $250.00 to repair your oven, have found when the ignitor comes on yet the oven won't heat that a weak ignitor is the cause 100% of the time

Hope this helps

My stove keeps beeping and

Hello,

The F1-8 error code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck in and the touchpad needs to be replaced. The computer runs a self check on the oven several times per hour and it thinks a button on the touchpad has malfunctioned. Depending on your exact model the touchpad is a seperate peice or it has been intergrated into the control panel, so if it's seperate only it needs to be replace,if it's intergrated the whole control board needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps ya

We have a double-oven built-in

The F1 code means Defective touch pad or clock (ERC) So Replace touch pad or clock (ERC). Touch pad is a more common problem. Before replace the clock you can make this test below F1 touch pad / ERC test This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad. Now for f8 is for Analog / Digital problem and you should replace clock (ERC), The error code that should refer to replace the relay board is the F2 and this should be when the oven temperature is too hot. Therefore as you may understant you need to check carefully the instalation of the new clock and you can follow the F! test procedures as above to find where the instalation of the new clock whet wrong.
