I need a Diode Part #58001064
Hi Leslie, Its been a while since you posted your problem and you most likely have purchased a new microwave as most of the responses advise. But, I had this same problem about a month ago and found a solution for a replacement for the 58001064 diode. It took a lot of research, but I found that this Frigidaire part # 11QBP0530 is nearly identical to the Whirlpool/Maytag one. See the photo. The old 58001064 is on the bottom and the new 11QBP0530 on top. It has all of the same electrical values. The only difference is the terminal on the diode end of the wire does not have the double spade. The new one even has an insulator on the 90 degree end. It really burns me up when they say nobody makes it anymore and won't tell you there is an option.Hope this helps anyone who is looking for a 58001064 diode.
Regards,Tracy

Microwave sparking
The magnetron is arcing, or bare metal is exposed on the inside of the microwave oven, I recommend having it checked before further use.

Microwave oven wont heat
If the microwave oven is 7 years old or less the most likely problem is the magnetron, or the inverter board, cost consideration should be carefully thought out.

Jenn air microwave loose door
Most if not all of these units have a safety switch--can't get at it from the outside---if unit is taken apart it often is snapped into a plastic holder and prevents the unit from working if door is open.If it is loose or not engaged completely the unit will do what you are describing.
