Thanks for contacting Fixya Support.

I have a great how to link for turning on a Coby MP3 Player for you below

How to Turn on a Coby MP3 Player

I admit, it was a bit strange for me that an Mp3 player should be difficult to turn on, but now I realize after reviewing Coby players, it all depends on the manufacturer.

I hope this helps!

How do I remove the write protection on my mp3

There is only one tried and tested method that actually works.

This will only work on MP3s that you have bought and downkloaded yourself whicj means that you already have the DRM codes.

Use doubletwist desktop so this is really not cheating as you have already paid once this can be used on MP3 codec files only and then you can covert them to Sony ATRAC or any other that you desire.

Can't delete songs from coby mp-c827 player

Use Windows Media Player:
The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/harrison_wmp10.mspx

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sync.mspx

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0085.mspx#EDF

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

My Directions:

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

To copy (RIP) files from CD to Mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

I cannot get music to load on to my coby mp3 player

Downloading/Uploading files
1. Connect the player to PC.
2. Open WindowExplorer on PC.
3. Select the file to save and drag-and drop it into the
removable disc icon. You can also transfer file fromthe
player to your PC.
Do not remove the player while it's transferring files.
It might currupt or damage the firmware and or files
on the player. If the player is accidently removed
while transferring and does not work properly,
remove battery for 3 seconds and replace it.
Note:
Disconnecting the Player
After completing the file t ransfer, you must disconnect the
player as following direction:
Double-click on the green arrow in the taskbar on the
bottomright of the window.
When the [Stop a Hardware] message appears, press the
[OK] button and disconnect the USB port.

Need to know how to download music on my mp3 player

yes, plug it into your computer and it should show up as an external drive, and you just drag your songs to it. you may have to go into "computer" and see if it is listed there after you plug it in if it doesn't automatically show up .

your probably using the usb extension cable, plug the unit directly into one of the rear ports on your computer tower and it should show up..these units never break..unless there is physical damage itself.

HELP ME PLEASE!!

I'm not sure which Coby I have but my computer wouldn't read it when I plugged it into the USB port. What worked for me was to take out the battery, plug it into the USB port, add a couple of mp3 songs, unplug it and plug it back in. It was recognized with all the existing media on it and I could edit and delete. Hopefully you have room to add an mp3 or two. My solution last time it happened was to reformat and reload.

Coby MP-C827 MP3 Player

Windows XP is plug and play, so it doesnt require any drivers on Coby's end. You need to do Windows Update to update your drive package, it seems you are missing the USB MASS STORAGE device driver.
