microphone input jack is on the back of the computer. It is the red/pink jack.

If you have replaced the power supply with a known working power supply and have connected it properly to the motherboard and all devices, then you probably have a bad motherboard.

If your Laptop has a "Latitude C/Port Advanced Port Replicator" Then this Port Replicator connects Dell Latitude notebooks to peripheral devices such as a monitor, printer, keyboard and mouse. To accomplish this, connect your peripheral devices to the Dell port replicator itself, and leave them connected to it. Then connect your notebook to the port replicator to access the devices without having to attach them individually each time you want to use them. You can also set up speakers on the Dell Latitude C/Port port replicator to provide improved quality audio.Follow following steps: 1) Place your Dell Latitude notebook in your C/Port Advanced Port Replicator and turn on the notebook using the power button.

2) Place the speakers you want to connect to the port replicator on either side of the port replicator according to the Left and Right (L and R) labels on the speakers.

3) Plug the audio line connector from the speakers into the audio line out plug on the port replicator. The audio line out plus is on the right-hand side of the port replicator base next to the infrared port, directly opposite the notebook ejection lever.

4) Plug the power cable from the speakers into a power outlet if needed. Battery-powered speakers will not require this. Turn on the speakers following the manufacturer's instructions.

He probably didn't delete them; he probably just closed them like my grandson did to mine. Just click "View" "Explorer bar" "Favorites" and your list should come right back.

Are you referring to your windows password? To bypass this, you can login on safe mode (F8 as soon as you see the Dell Logo) via administrator login. As soon as you were able to login under the administrator profile, follow this. Go to control panel --> User Accounts --> select the Account that you're having difficulty loggin in --> remove password ---> delete all characters under the field ---> click OK. Restart the computer normally. 
If it happens that the administrator login also asks the same password, this would mean that your own profile is the administrator and the only way to eliminate this would be to do a Repair or OS reinstallation. 

the manufacturer defualt password is 'dell' so you can try that. Otherwise reset the cmos chip by following the instructions in your motherboard manual. The reason it will not load is that when most os's install,. they install the neccesary drivers and software for the hardware present. Moving the harrdrive will not generally work. Your best bet is to back up all the data on your old machine to dvd etc and then format the drive and complete a re-install.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

On the motherboard, very close to the battery, there should be several pins with a jumper on two of them. One set may be marked "reset Bios password", or just "Reset", which will discharge the BIOS capacitor.
Remove the battery first, then move the jumper to the Reset pins for a second or so, then move the jumper back to it's original position and replace the battery.
When you power up the computer, the Bios password should now be empty.

If you cannot find these pins, try leaving the battery out and do not turn on the computer (I know this may not be possible) for several days to allow the capacitor to discharge.

HI, Try to use another key board.. If the problem is same remove the power cable and open cover. Check the cpu fan . Contract for more information. Hope this helps.

the earphone port is in the front at the bottom, there are 2 usb ports and 1 earphone port.
