HP a1600n desktop will turn on but will not boot.
you can try buying a cheap pci express video card and install it inside one of those slots and connect your monitor to the new video card and see if it will boot up. some computers have a beeping sound if something is wrong. if theres no beep then try to remove everything like memory and hard drives and just leave the power supply. if it still doesnt beep when you restart the computer, then it might be the motherboard.
Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit and No Internet
It sounds to me like you need a new driver for the LAN adapter that is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. Right click on Computer under the start menu, chose manage, and open the Device Manager applet. Look for your network card under Network adapters. Right click on your adapter and click on properties. Go to the driver tab and click on update driver. You can also try uninstalling the driver from there and then have the computer scan of new hardware from the device manager screen and let Windows reinstall the driver. Let me know what you find so I can help you further troubleshoot if this does not fix the problem.
1 short beep 1 long beep
Unplug your monitor , key board, Mouse and open the Case of your system. New clean everything inside with a vacuum clear or some thing like that. Clean even the RAM. open the RAM from RAM bank and clean it with the help of pencil eraser. Now put back every thing in its own Place. Now your computer should boot up unless there is some Hardware Failure.IF it boot you then I'll suggest you to go to HP site and download the Latest update for your Chipset Driver. If you are not sure about which Chipset is there in your board then you can Auto detect it in HP site. Hope Things will go well for you.Good Luck.
Computer just shut down and won`t boot back up
You could have an overheating problemWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail. A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.
Computer just shut down for no reason won`t boot back up
First problem is the data inportant to you on there, if so before and other work is done i suggest have it recovered before work is done, easy way remove hard drive and place it in a docking staion as long as the drive is readable and use another machine to expolore you hard drive to recover data. if a corrupt mbr use icare data reovery as a computer shop or centre will be more than happy to charge big money.

Hello. I think temporary system files clogged your hard drive space. You can do the following: 1) delete temporary files, history and cookies on your browsers by going to internet options in control panel; 2) run disk cleanup found on start -> accessories -> system tools (please make sure that all boxes are checked); OR 3) download and install
CCleaner that would do all of the above for you.
