to set a wireless router you have to connect it first to the internet using the internet slot (sometimes named (wlan)and also connect the computer (for now ) in the first port on the router ..and in the Lan card on the computer ..using either a Lan/usb cable if the router has the ports on usb ..or a Lan /Lan cable (RJ45 plug)..After all are powered and on ..you have to type in the browser (IExporer for ex) ..the address of the router..so that you will get to the log in page for the settings needed in the router ..(set the connection to the main internet ..and also settings for IP range to be assigned for the 4 ports..and to set the wireless parameters ..To get to this page you have to see the router's IP ..(written on the sticker on the back ) ..and type on the browser like it follows:ex.http://192.168.1.1 and hit enter.or type any of these ones• http://www.routerlogin.net• http://www.routerlogin.com• http://192.168.1.1and will have the same effect a window with a log in tab will appear ..and you will have to complete the spaces for admin with the word admin and for password with the word password ..these being the default set from factory and can be changed in the settings if you want to ..If you have a broadband modem based connection ..you will need to change the router's default IP with a much simpler one for not to get into conflict with the modem ..so my advice is to set one with 2 digits ..like 10.10.10.1 or so ..It will be easy to remember and sure not to get in conflict ..cause the router also will assign the ip -es for the computers in this range ..(sometimes the modems have similar factory IP and will be in conflict cause the modem will became the default gateway for the router..when you set it ...I will link the official manual in case you do not have it ..and there is even explained the wizard setting ..and the manual opne ..The idea is that the wizard setting will not be complete and will only set the router for a wireless connection or for to connect to one port ..It best to do it manually and complete. Here is the manual

I have reset the time on my printer and when I
the real date is printed from the computer and the wrong one is the default date from the printer...What you have to do is to get into the settings and correct the date into the printer..Look for the time and date in the main menu ..and select and correct it ..After that restart the printer and the problem will be gone ..This may be an issue resulted from a total reset made or a failure of the internal battery ..If the dat ewill not be kept set after you correct it ...it means the internal battery need to be changed cause when it is unplugged it will not hold the settings ..

I suggest to make sure you have the full option driver for your video card ...select the proper chanel on the input of the tv ..than go to the video card's settings ..either from the tray icon or from the control panel ..or from start ..and in there you have to activate the second monitor or the tv in our case..It has to be a wizard like procedure which will detect the tv connection and will make it functional ..For some computer's there is even a hot key on functions that have to be pressed for to enable that ..Probably Fn+F4 or +F5 ..and if you do not have a Fn key ..press ctrl+alt instead..But the best way is to enable from the settings or even from the settings of the desktop it may work ..For thet just click right on desktop ..than select properties..after that settings (the last in the right ) ..and in there select monitor..You have to click on the secondary monitor shown in the image ..than activate it ..either as a clone ..and in this case you will have same image on both ..or as an extension ..and in this case you may rotate those tiny monitors to be in a real position like the Big ones...and you can even arrange them one on top of the other..and the mouse will continue from one to the other as a extension ..You will be able to run different programs simultaneous in this mode..
Hello, I get the following message when I try to

The power LED light is orange instead of green and
Hi! for most dell machines if the power led is orange its an indication of a issue with the ram, try to reseat the ram first.if that doesnt work normally for dimension 4600, there are diagnostic lights that are located at the back panel of the machine, they are four bicolor lights(amber and green) You can determine the exact problem by checking these lights and you can interpret them by going to this website: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim4600/en/4600i/sm/adtshoot.htm#1112886
hope this helps...

Ntldr is missing at startup
To fix your problem please follow the below steps.
1. Locate your Windows XP/2000 installation disc and place it in your CD/DVD ROM drive. If you don't have this disk, then you cannot proceed further.
2. Restart your computer.
3. When the computer restarts press any key on your keyboard when you are prompted, "Press any key to enter setup." Most computers are configured to boot to another device other than a hard drive. Since the Windows XP/2000 installation disk is bootable, you should see the prompt. However, if you don't see the prompt you may need to change your boot priority in your BIOS. To do so, enter the system BIOS by following the onscreen instructions upon startup. Then navigate to the Boot Priority menu and modify another device, such as a CD-ROM to boot prior to the hard drive. Then reboot your computer.
4. After you have pressed any key, the Windows XP/2000 setup screen will appear. After loading, press the "R" key to repair the Windows installation. The screen will appear black. The computer requests which installation you would like to log in. Generally speaking, press "1" and "Enter." If you have more than one hard drive or more than one partition, the procedure may be different. You must know which hard drive or partition your Windows operating system is installed in. You are subsequently prompted for a password. If you haven't set up one up, you can just leave the query blank and press "Enter." The phrase "c:\WINDOWS>" and a blinking cursor subsequently appear.
5. Type "copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\windows" (without quotes), where "D" is the letter of your CD/DVD ROM drive (your optical drive may be different, especially if you have more than one). Eject the CD from the drive and type "Exit" (without quotes) to restart your computer. The NTLDR file will be copied from the installation disc to your hard drive.

Have a good day.
REPLACE HARDDRIVE
for replacing the hard drive, you will either need to attempt a full backup of a drive (google "backup hard drive __state problem__") or start fresh. There are different types of hard drive connectors (IDE, SATA, SATA II, SATA III, etc.) you must make sure you purchase the correct drive when you do so. if you have an IDE 2.5in laptop drive with 8gb capacity, you could go online and find another IDE 2.5in laptop drive with a 40gb capacity and when you plug it in it will be blank. you can transfer your files over, but it is unwise to transfer the windows installation (if possible) so you will need a windows install disk. these can be downloaded from many places around the internet, and will work with the retail windows activation sticker located on the bottom of your laptop, or the back or side of your desktop. this is just an idea to point you in the right direction, if you use a search engine, you will most likely find an answer to your problem
Hasn't been started in a year , cannot get it

If the system is not even posting I would look at the power supply first. Normally this is the first thing to go out on a computer.

This is the advanced troubleshooting section for most computers.
First thing to do is "reseat" the memory modules - Reseat, with thePC powered off first ground yourself to a metal part of the PC beforetouching the memory modules and then only handle them by the edges asthey are static sensitive. Remove each memory module then reinstalland make sure it's fully and correctly seated. Try the PC and if thereare still problems, try one memory module at a time in case one of themis defective.
