I have seen that in most of the cases (with lexmark and dell printers) it is fixed by reinstalling the printer software. Be sure that you completely remove the older drivers using the cd or using add/remove programs

you can re install it via internet , heres the link ,

run print head clean

ok if the carriage is not moving half past way
:just go ahead and take out the inkjets
:nw take out the power cable from back of the printer
:after thirty secnds plug in the power cable
:then put the catriges back and try to print ,it will print

most drivers are built i to the default install of OS X however try searching versiontracker.com if it doesn't or go to manufacturer site

Check, in the Printer Properties, if the economy mode is on. Can be the reason.

So you think the scan from the Auditors software jammed the port on the Printserver? Are your printservers PC's that spool the print jobs and then send them to the printer or are the printserver devices? How is you printserver connected to your printer? (ie parallel, USB, COM)

If you can not get that power adapter locally, search for it on the web at auction sites, and computer supply web sites.

As far as I know this is not a wireless printer or doesn't have that feature, so you will always have to have a wire connected to a pc.

Download the driver for your operating system

Try replacing the ink cartridge it may be empty and make sure you remove the tape before you install.

go to start/control panel/printers&faxes
you will see what is in the que
the print jobs will stay in the que until you shut off the printer
if you have shut off the printer, the que will be emptied and not retrievable
