Need to hook up a brother MFC-210c so it can fax

Install the software (Brother MFLPro0 relevant to the printer. If you do not have the original CD download the appropriate suite from Brother Solution Center. When you install the software you will be asked to choose USB, or Local Network. You can always install the USB and connect the printer to the calculator through USB. Different installations for different connection types (USB, LAN)After you configure the software, you can open the Control Center 3 software and use the fax.To be able to fax, you need to connect a telephone cable to the port marked line. After you do try pressing the unhook button. If connection to the phone line is correct you will hear the tone. The MFC can fax without being connect to a computer, just the phone line.

What plugs do i need to hook up my printrt to my

Follow these steps :
1.1
Position your printer. If you have a laser printer, allow a few inches of space on all sides for ventilation. Ink-jet printers don't require ventilation.
2.2
Buy a bidirectional, IEEE 1284-compliant parallel printer cable. (Printers rarely come with cables. See "How to Buy a Printer Cable," under Related eHows, for more information.)
3.3
Shut down the computer, but leave it plugged into the surge suppressor.
4.4
Compare the connectors at the opposite ends of the cable.
5.5
Attach the 25-pin end of the cable to the parallel, or printer, port on the computer. (The plug will go in only one way.)
6.6
Tighten the hand screws securely.
7.7
Connect the other end of the cable into the printer's socket.
8.8
Latch the retaining clips (on most printer ports).
9.9
Plug the power cord into the printer and into the surge suppressor.
10.10
Turn on the printer.
11.11
Install cartridges according to the printer manufacturer's instructions.
12.12
Turn on the computer.
13.13
Install printer driver software according to the manufacturer's instructions.
14.14
Add the printer to the list of printers your computer recognizes (see "How to Add a Printer," under Related eHows). On a Macintosh, just select the new printer in the Chooser.

How do i scann something and send it as a email?

If you have a Windows operating system on your computer (XP Vista, etc.,) place the document you want to scan on your scanner and turn your scanner on.

Then,go to:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint

1) When the Paint program opens, (on the toolbar at the top of the program) click on, 'File' then scroll down and click on, 'From Scanner or Camera'.

2) Click on the icon for your scanner, then click, 'OK'.

3) Click, 'Scan'.

4) The document will be scanned and imported into the paint program automatically.

5) Then, (again) click on, 'File' (in the toolbar) and select, 'Save As' > (name your document) > select a file on your computer to save the document in (for example: Pictures).

6) Log into your email account.

7) Click, N
'New' or 'Compose' (whichever applies) and compose (type) your email.

8) Then locate the word or option that reads, 'Attachment' (which will usually have a small icon of a paperclip by the side of it) and click on the word 'Attachment'.
(a window will open)

9) Find the button in the window that reads: 'Browse'. Click on the 'Browse' button and locate the file where your scanned document was saved > and click on it. (this should attach the file to your email.)

For large documents and files, if your email provider doesn't allow large documents or files, you can email them with yahoo. After composing your email, look to (your) bottom left of the page you are going to email and click on, 'Attach Large Files'

- you'll have to click, 'Accept the first time' then attach your file and click, 'Send'. That's all there is to it.
