This is the second ink cartridge I have purchased.
Ink may be new, but their nozzles may be blocked; depending
on manner of storage. To be sure apply a folded tissue paper to the ink nuzzle
and press firmly. If the tissue comes off well blotted with ink it means you
still have a good amount of ink in it and the nozzle is not blocked. If not
blotted or scantily blotted, it means ink is really low or nozzle is blocked.
To be very sure of this, place nuzzle in a plate/saucer with a bit water so
that the nozzle is soaked. Leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the tissue
again. If still not well blotted it means ink is really low or empty. If new
you should return it for a replacement. In the case of blocked nozzles, the
procedure may be repeated over to get results.
If color ink runs out- i want to print in black without replacei
I found this out when trying to do the same with Epson (after talking to their tech support). The printers with printheads that are reusable (Epson, Canon, Kodak, and whoever else) force you to replace the empty cartridge so that air doesn't get drawn into the printhead, killing it off. The tank still has a little ink in there to keep it from drying out. It's cheaper to replace the cartridge than getting a new printhead.
I have a Kodak Easyshare 5500. I have run out of

I think you are not getting the correct colors, in which case I would suggest you to either call Kodak support center to get help to fix the problem (which most likely will end up in your printhead being replaced at no charge) or you can go to the website (kodak.com/go/aiosupport) to replace it yourself with the troubleshooting online

Kodak printer are designed in such a way that if you even don't print from them, everytime you on-off the printer the cleaning process goen on, which results in emtying the ink cartridges. Try installing new ink cartridges. if u still get the same ink error. Then the printer will be replaced.
Can i make my kodak easyshare 5500 wireless? or is
Hi,
Well, yes, to some extent.
This printer will accept a Kodak Bluetooth adapter which plugs into the USB port in the front of the printer. You can then send pictures from Bluetooth enable products such as PDA's, mobile phone, and digital cameras.
You can refer to Page 41 in the manual.
