My ps3 fan keeps getting louder
You may want to try the reflow option. There is a reflow multi-part video on youtube about this process. It involves opening your PS3, and buying a few things. I've used that and have been successful in getting my PS3 back into working shape.

My Playstation 3 (60 GB) will not connect to Wifi
mmk first thing is that you will need to get your playstation into safe modestep 1 make sure the system is off (solid red light)step 2 hold down the power button until the light changes from green back to solid redstep 3 hold down the power button you will here a series of beeps coming from your system listen for the quick double beep (less than one second between beeps) then take you finger offstep 4 you should see a message about plugging your controller in follow thos and 6 options should come upstep 5 choose option 3if this does not resolve repeat above steps 1-4 and choose option 5 (this will erase everything)step 6 if the above does not resolve it is a hardware issue and you will need to contact sony

The power light on but the play station wont come
hi
there Suzanne
This
is Yellow light of death and in the gaming world its known as the
YLOD.
You
can send the console to Sony to fix for around $150 4-6 weeks of
waiting time.
The
More popular choice at the moment is to fix it your self
at home using a PS3 repair guide made by a professional ps3 repair
man for the complete beginner costing around $30 - $40.
You
can see why its more popular and why gamers are turning to repair
guides everyday.
Go
to GAMER
FIX and
you will find a full description of your problem, also Sony's details
if you wish to contact them and the most recommended ps3 repair guide
on the web.
You
will get back to gaming with either option
Best
regards

My ps3 freezes upon start
Hello,
You can try the steps below. Its from PlayStation Forum:
1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
The current Recovery Menu supports:
• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System
If the above steps still does not solve the problem, then I think will have to update your Ps3.
Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option).
Go on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others as
well as cookies.
You could also try this as well: put the PS3 on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it and switch the PS3 off at the back with your finger on the eject button still holding it, then put it back on and the fan test should be working this may cool it down. It might be over heating.
But if your problem is not still solved, then maybe you should call sony for further assistance.
I wish you good luck
