One of the Burners does not light.

I have the same problem and just took the cooktop apart to investigate. I disconnected the solenoid lines from the simmer controller (that is located under a metal guard to the right side under the burners) and checked them with an ohmmeter. It reads an open circuit, which suggest the solenoid is bad. When I turn the control knob on, I also read about 100V DC on the corresponding solenoid terminals of the simmer controller. I was surprised it was that high for a DC voltage, does anyone know if that is correct? I would hate to spend $90 on a replacement solenoid valve and then have it blow because the controller is putting out too much juice.

Vent will not go down, fan works ok.When I push

On something like this you are going to need to access the gear box #26. As the snorkel comes down it has to trigger the lower limit switch #28 & the upper limit switch #27 for the upward movement. Take a screwdriver & push in on the switch paddles to see if one of them may be stuck. You should also be able to lift the complete snorkel out of the unit to check the alignment for binding-up. Remove panel #22 to access the gearbox & limit switches; this is where you should start at. richroth_124.jpg

When the oven is on,

Hello,

Yes that is what it means to shut off the circuit breaker for at least 2 minutes then turn it back on and try the oven again to see if the F3 error code returns. If the F3 error code does return again this tip i wrote explains what the F3 code means and what to check to fix the oven.

Thermador rdss30rs xlo burners don't light

IF THE BURNERS DO NOT IGNITE
• Are the burner caps properly aligned and seated in the burner bases?
• Are the burner ports clogged?
• Is a fuse blown or is the circuit breaker tripped?
• Is the manual shut-off valve closed, preventing the flow of gas?

Have a Thermador RDFS30QB. The

Usually the thermostat packs up during self clean as the oven generates excessive heat.

Generally one would have to be very cautious when dealing with gas appliances. I am assuming you are familiar with gas applicances and will know how to prevent any accidents when attempting to repair the appliance.

Refer this assembly diagram and parts lists to work out how the controls etc fit together. If you think this diagram is not matching your unit then provide the full serial no. of your unit. This will be on the plate where the model no. is listed.

please rate the solution if you found it useful otherwise drop a comment.
