Free software for polaroid a300

You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos

Lost photos

Try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital memory card, here are some you may rely on.
Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

My camera won't save to mass storage

Are you sure it's an SD card? If it's larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work in the A300.

Can you explane what each button on the Polaroid A 300 does?

They're all described in the manual. If you don't have a manual, you may download one here. While the manual explains what each button does, it doesn't do much to explain why you might want to do these things. There should be a number of introductory photography books available at your local library which will explain the basic concepts behind camera controls.

I just purchased the a300

Hi,

This camera comes with built-in flash memory for storing pictures and video clips.

You can expand the memory using a SD card (up to 1GB).

The camera senses whether a memory card is inserted or not, and automatically saves pictures and video clips accordingly.

If you do not use a memory card, the pictures will be saved to the internal memory of the camera. If a memory card is inserted, the pictures and videos will be saved to the memory card.

So you can use the camera without inserting the memory card.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire).

Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Blurry pictures

Good day,

I have heard a lot of complaints about people taking Blurry Photos.

There are a few possibilities for it and a few easy fixes.

The first possibility I would identify is a dirty lens. To fix this simply take a clean microfiber cloth and gently clean the lens until there are no smudges visible.

The other possibility I would identify is that the pictures are out of focus.
This problem can be caused by a dirty lens or because the object or person was not focused on. To ensure focus on your photos, line up your shot and wait for the camera to focus by pressing the shutter button half way down. When focused press the shutter button in all the way and hold the camera still until the photo appears on the screen. By doing this you will eliminate any motion that might mess up your shot.

Please let me know if these tips work for you!

Regards

Yes. Some cameras have very limited memory to use without a memory card, but most do not.

Hi there,

First, you need to copy the pictures from your camera to your computer.

1. Plug your camera to your computer using the USB cable.
2. RIGHT click your Windows START button and click Explore or choose to open Windows Explorer.
3. Under My Computer or Computer, look for the drive letter associated with your camera and click on it to show the contents on the right.
4. Find your pictures from one of the folders and copy them on your local disk drive.
5. Finally, open your email and click Attach File button and browse on the location of the picture you want to send.

Im trying to take pictures

Stop trying to do that and get a memory card. Writing to the internal memory is a frustrating experience. It's very small and only allows a few picture before it fills up. Once it's full, you can't use a regular memory card without going through a few steps.
