I have problem about over heating of my p4

all fans in time will get louder. The power supply unit has a fan and if you don't already have a fan on the CPU then you can add one to help cool it The fan in the power supply can be upgraded to a quieter one if need be. Any dust on in the case on on the circuit board will retain heat so getting some dry air and cleaning them should be performed. Be sure to ground yourself to the medal case when working with the case open.

Hardrive not detected

You may have a hardware fault.
Try re-seating the hard drive.
Then check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected.
If the hard disk is not detected then either the hard disk is faulty or the disk controller on the motherboard is faulty.
To further test the hard disk, remove the hard disk and connect it to an USB hard disk adapter and plug it into a working computer's USB port. If this computer cannot see it as an external hard drive nor can you open the various folders and files, then the hard drive is faulty.
Then you need to replace the faulty hard drive, install Windows on the new hard drive, together with the laptop's device drivers and your programs to get a working laptop again.

Failed to boot, i cant even get to the bios!

Dear Client, unpluged all the data cables, power cables or wires, bios cell and RAMs. Everything should be unpluged from the motherboard for two hours and then reassmbled. It will work properly but when you reassembled it just plug with the follwing devices.

* Power Cables
* Data Cables
* Bios cell
* Processor + Fan
* RAMs

Do not attach CD-Rom or Hard Disk, just turn on the computer without Hard Disk and CD-Rom and try to enter in bios setup. I assure your problem will be solve. Now you can attach the CD-Rom and then try to boot up from the CD-Rom and in the last you should try to attach Hard-Disk. I hope you will do it step by step and get success.

Good Luck

Memory Problem

Try to insert the memory in the other slot. Try also a good known memory in the same slot, if it works then most probably that 1GB Memory could be defective. You may also try to rub the gold trims with an eraser for better conductivity.

Power supply tests ok but installed nothing

It would appear that you may have an overloading component and the power supply's protection mechanism shuts it off as a safety measure.
The fact that the symptom continues even with another power supply suggests this is the case. However, before running into any conclusions, please check and double check your mb connections.
Also, added high performance hardware has its toll on power. Have you added hardware to your system? If that's the case, try getting a higher powered power supply.
Good luck!

Pc keeps beeping 3 times and nothing on the

remove the RAM(MEMORY CHIPS) from *********** board and reinsert.if the problem is same replace the chips,get new chips.mostly cleaning the golden lines on the chip with pencil/school rubber solves the problem.
No beep is usually a power problem that can be related to the power supply, motherboard or both. Always check your battery power before thinking there is a bigger problem.
Step3
One beep is a normal POST. That means everything is fine. Two, Three, or Four short beeps are normally about the memory of the machine. If there is a problem with one of your memory chips you should get beeps of different combinations in this area. If you get two or three short beeps, one or both of your memory chips could be in trouble.
Step4
Five beeps point toward motherboard or CPU problems. Make sure your memory and video card are seated properly. Try removing them and putting them back in, only if you are comfortable with computers. Six, seven and eight beeps. Eight beeps indicate problems with your video card. Six or Seven are CPU, or a bad chip on the motherboard. Nine beeps mean the BIOS is bad. Replace the motherboard. Ten beeps means the problem is in the CMOS. All chips need to be replaced.
thanks.
