Cannon w6400 pg flushed all my new cardtridges dry
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Canon imagePROGRAF W6400 printer. It sounds like there may be some problems with the ink system or the printhead. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Verify compatibility: Ensure that the compatible cartridges you purchased are indeed compatible with your specific printer model. Double-check the packaging or consult the manufacturer's documentation to confirm compatibility.
2. Clean the printhead: Ink flow issues can sometimes be resolved by cleaning the printhead. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a printhead cleaning. It typically involves accessing the maintenance or ink settings on the printer's control panel.
3. Check ink levels: Use the printer's control panel or software utility to check the ink levels of the cartridges. If they still show as empty or low despite being newly installed, there might be an issue with the ink level sensors or the cartridge installation. Ensure the cartridges are properly seated and making proper contact with the printer.
4. Update firmware and drivers: Visit the Canon support website and download the latest firmware and drivers for your printer. Outdated firmware or drivers can sometimes cause compatibility or functionality issues.
5. Contact Canon support: If the above steps don't resolve the problem, it's recommended to reach out to Canon support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps based on your printer model and help determine if any repairs or replacements are necessary.
Remember to provide detailed information about the issue, the steps you've already taken, and any error messages you're encountering when contacting support. They will be better equipped to assist you in resolving the problem.
I hope these suggestions help you get your printer back up and running smoothly.

I have a cannon MP237 and I am trying to copy something. The scanner only goes half way and stops and then the orange light comes on. This all started from a jammed piece of paper.

- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the printer cover and remove the ink cartridges and any paper that is visible.
- Look inside the printer for any small pieces of paper or debris that may be causing the issue.
- Use a pair of tweezers or a flashlight to carefully inspect the inside of the printer for any foreign objects that may be causing the problem.
- Once you have removed any debris, close the printer cover and reinsert the ink cartridges.
- Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
- Try to make a copy again to see if the issue has been resolved.
