Samsung Remote Control not working
any samsung remote will work any samsung television. Samsung use the same code for all television's as do Sony
Samsung remotes are quite expensive you could always buy a Sky digibox remote and tune that in to work you tv that would be a cheaper option.
how to tune in the sky remote to work your samsung tv
TV,
RED + SELECT ( blinks twice)
TV,
0060
TV,
SELECT.
Job done
Hope this helps you out.
Cheers

Power turns on and off by itself
Your power cable might be a little loose, happens with my TV too.Try to push it in a bit, just a bit.If there is the same problem again, try buying new power cable, and if that does not help, your TV will break soon.

Remote is dead
Most remotes can be tested and if bad fixed, look if test shows not sending for battery connections, something has been spilled on it or if suspect it was dropped the actual led/s inside that send the signal have come loose from the board where they are soldered in.

LE26R74BD power board
No, not power board actually..You possibly have bad inverter board (this board is responsible for creating back-light) if this fails your TV black screen,

Samsung 26 R74BDX
All that is
Hello,
All Plasma and LCD TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them, but it is very easy to wreck em.
Good luck in solving the problem.

Band of dot's(millions) across screen only whilst
I think I have a good idea of what you're experiencing.
Our minds are so set in the low-def mode that when those extra lines are filled in for high-def it looks like a bunch of dots. Notice everything is so much more clear? I thought the same thing when I watched my first blu-ray disc.
Watch something in high-def and then go back to standard immediately after. You'll notice that you can't get near as much detail off of the low-def.
Those dots are your mind trying to put high-def into low def.
Hope this helps; please rate my solution accordingly
Respectfully,
Don

Tries change power board, most cases, but some case the main backlight video board it dead,or both power and main backlight video board .My sugestions to u buy both power and main backlight video boards, tries the brand new power board first,if don't work, try it with the backlight video board with the old power board, same prob. tries both new boards.Trouble shoot this way u have base cover have boards in hand, must lose some money for return merchandise, for restocking fee.
