open the back and look. Mine has 4 10volt 1000uf capacitors that I plan on replacing tomorrow. I'm going back with 16volt 1000uf high temp capacitors so they don't go bad again.
The power supply may be bad. Sometimes, it's just a capacitor or two that needs to be replaced. Take it in for service if you don't know how to check the board yourself. Good luck!
Were you watching television through antenna or video through HMDI or video RCA cable when it happens? If it happened only once, then I wouldn't think that's a serious problem. Most TV firmwares today are based on complex linux OS. Would expect a software glitch or two.
Check whether your TV manufacturer had any firmware update.

Not fixable,because replacing LCD screen panel,will cost the same as a new tv.The picture screen panels in any tvs models are limited produced by the tv corporations.Worth 90% of the functions of any tvs.No where,u will able to buy the screen panels to any tvs.The tvs coporations,will sell it to,but same price as a new tv.Sorry ur tv not worth as a whole tv anymore.Now only worth as a salvage for parts only.
what was the need to replace capacitors. if so on which circuit? Hope you have replaced the right value and type of the capacitor. Observe whether soldered points getting into other pcb track. Clean them again and give a try.
If you arre using seperate inputs for video / audio , you will need to cross check if the input or the set top is delivering the audio. check this out with an external DVD player to confirm. if the input is sttill absent ther could be a failure in the IF/AF side whic will need further probe with experienced help.
This is a comon problem with the Samsung LCD HDTV on the Power Board.

When checking the capacitors, If they are slightly rounded on the top where the X is, the cap is defective. See the Youtube below.
Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors, three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of problems with these caps on http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off , I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v. They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now. Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between $100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or getting the unit serviced. If you are not comfortable replacing components which means using a soldering iron, you can replace the power circuit board, available from www.Samsung.PartStore.com.
