No sound from my Samsung 40" flat screen tv
probably your cable or sat box malfunctioned. try unplugging the power for 2 minutes and then plugging it back in. my cablebox would do that to me all the time. let me know if this doesn't help. check sound on dvd or other sources to narrow that down.

How do i change bulb in tv
HelloYour Samsung tV is LCD type. It has no bulb to replace as in DLP projection televisions. there is CCFL [Cold Cathode Flourocent Lamps] are the lighting devices, which are fitted just behind the LCD screen There will be more than 12 numbers of them, accroding to screen size. If these lamps do not light up; that is; if you do not get any backlight with your LCD TV, the backlight inverter board should be troubleshooted. This is the board that supplies high frequency high voltage to these lamps to light up. Check this inverter baord first. Repalcing backlight CCFL lamps is really a skilled work, as they are fitted inside the panel, and to replace them, you have to disassable the panel itself.

I have broken the tube for my stand
Hello, get a replacement stand because it is certain that you cannot put the broken tube back together again. Go to amazon.com or ebay.com for a replacement or go to any electronics accessories store within your vicinity.

Picture gone green
There is a small part that regulates colour and has to be replaced on the circuit board, colour can b restored within minutes. When done I recommend that u use a power source with a surge guard to avoid such from recurring.

My samsung LE40R74BD set works
This does not seem to be a power supply issue but rather an issue with the backlight inverter board. When the screen goes black, take a flash light and focus it on the screen from a close distance and several angles. See if you notice a very faint image. Try changing the channels to make it more noticeable. Try it and let me know

I have a Samsung Ln32A450c1d
Hi,
Basically it is problem of LCD Panel (screen) however some times T-Con board replacement fixed the issue (T-Con board is part of lcd panel but some part shop sell it separately). Main board is not related with this kind of problem.
Required T-Con board is available in
ShopJimmy.com (click the link to view available boards)
If T-Con board replacement does not solve half screen vertical lines problem then LCD Panel will be replaced and it would cost approx new tv price.
Hope this info will help.
Thanks.

How do i go to input so i can watch movies on the
you should have a source/input button on the remote. Press this button and choose the input with the same name as the one you have the DVD player plugged into. Samsung TV's also have a button on the tv for source as well, it looks like a square with an arrow pointing into it.

Color is good but looks pale..
the backlight may be burning out or the inverter is failing, look for failing capacitors in the inverter circuit.
I found some great videos of the procedure (for different brand and different board, but similar issue) on youtube.
