heres the solution for ink box near full 1 power on the printer 2.press menu, mono, menu 3 press arrow up or arrow down look number 8 then press ok 4.press arrow up or arrow down look number 0 then press ok 5.press arrow up or arrow down PURGE Counter then press 2783 6.press 99 to exit maintenance mode or unplug the machine 7.turn back on the printer

First release ink cover door after that install Catradge slowly if problem is still clean Catradge sensor but first check ur ink cover open close is working or not

After that release menu button use up and down key use up 8 press ok then also use up key press 0 and then use mono button and got purge count use up and down keys press 4 ok 8 ok 2 ok 3 ok purge count 0000 then off and on peinter and enjoy

The print head needs to be cleaned. Use the cleaning mode in the ink menu. You may have to do this several times to get all the squares complete.

Can't install Creative Cloud Setup - error code 46 Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64, service pack 1 Getting this message on install: 'Installer was unable to access a critical file/directory. Please try installing again. (error code: 46)' In case it was a privileges issue:

• Tried as main user which already has admin privileges
• Tried creating a new admin user and installing through that
• Tried activating the disabled default administrator user and installing

Also tried with antivirus/firewall disabled, and tried running Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool then running the installer again. Same error every time - any ideas on how to get this installed? Not sure if it was the anti-virus, HIPS, auto-sandbox, or the firewall, but I basically disabled *all* of them for a couple of minutes while I ran the installer, and everything worked fine. Switched back on and the installed application is working without any problems at all. Note that Comodo has to still be running and each option actually disabled, rather than just exiting Comodo in the systray (the protection stays on if you do that, it must be still running as a service). How is the all-in-one connected to your computer? The problem usually means that you do not have bi-directional communication between the printer and the computer. If it is connected to your wireless network, did you ensure that the firewall allows the communication? (Some firewalls will automatically add the correct ports to the allowed list during the install of the full software.) For other firewall software or the less-complete install of the software drivers, you need to make sure that the port, 54925 , are allowed to access your computer for inbound and outbound network data. If adding that port is insufficient to allow scans to have bi-directional communication with the printer, also add port 137 (inbound and outbound). Since this step depends on your firewall, please add a comment with the firewall software on your computer. This is in the note in the Scanning section of the Brother Software User's manual for the DCP-J140W on page 35. This manual is available here: http://download.brother.com/welcome/doc002923/dcp140w_use_soft.pdf . An example of setting the Firewall rules for the Windows Firewall is shown starting on page 85 of the manual. If your computer is connected to the printer via a USB cable, try a different (possibly shorter 6' or less) USB cable or a different port. If you have the printer connected to a USB hub, skip the hub and directly connect to the computer. Check if other devices work at the USB ports. Sometimes ports do fail; either they can't maintain the needed voltage or they don't keep the cable and pins properly aligned. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells (I have seen the communication issues with stand-alone scanners as well. I saved a perfectly good scanner from the trash when the user failed to check if the scanner worked with other ports.)

Since I am working in the Techical Support department at Brother I can give you some little advice: Machine Error 70 is a hardware fault of the machine, after the Service Manual it means: "Cannot detect the ON/OFF state of cap lift cam Switch" After the instruction in the service manual the service technician would have to change the whole maintenance unit of the machine. You can try to clean the index stripe as described in faq00002918_004, but I doubt that it will solve the problem. It looks as if you have to send in the machine for repair if it is still under warranty or replace it with another brother. Best regards!

Did you actually change any parts or just reset a warning? If you were getting a full error, chances are the purge system was full and needs to be changed. Likely what the problem you are having is that ink from the purge system is backing up and polluting your print heads.

Try one or more of these options: Replace the maintenance unit,Replace the engine unit,Replace the power supply PCB,Replace the main PCB.
