Sounds like you need to replace your keyboard. This is not usually an easy job so I would recommend taking it to a laptop repair specialist.

Turn unit off. Try taking compressed air and blow out dust from the cooling vents. If you get the right one (where the fan is) you should hear the fan change speed. Power up and see how it works. I have seen many laptop issues like this go away after blowing out with air.

Its definatly the driver problem and you can also check from your device manager if it is not disabled then try VM cap a universal driver for most webcams.

Try install the WEBCAM driver for you Sony VAIO found here:

Try the cameras manufactures web site if you can't find it there try driversguide.com they have drivers for just about everything.

On the bois or boot up windows?

If you could be more specific about your issue that what exactly you can see on screen or whether lights are turning on or not? In any case you need to check your power supply first using a voltmeter to ensure that out voltages are equal to mentioed rating or not and in this way you may need to try new charger,

did you try downloading the driver. what is your operating sytem

ensure that your web cam supported USB 2 or 3

You can run hdd disk diagnostic test in bios option.

are you combining the brightness key with the FN Button?
