Adapter Check ?€" Remove installed adapter leaving only the necessary adapter generally a single video adapter and the subsystem controller. Restart the computer to see if the problem sill occurs. Try to reinstall every adapter and reboot the system separately, reboot after every adapter. If the error does not appear after reinstalling each of the adapters, the card may only require to be reseated. Monitor the system to guarantee that the error will not reappear.

If your laptop was sitting on a bed, soft chair or something similar it probably just got too hot. Let it sit for a few hours before attempting to power it back on.

The hard drive is located on the left side of the unit between the video out port and the select bay(cd-dvd drive). You will see a small cover that you will need to remove to gain acces to the drive.

Make sure that you have the unit unplugged from the power supply and that you have removed the battery before opening this cover.

I hope this helps.

The autoplay feature on some refurbished (and sometimes new) computers is at best unpredictable.

To find out if your disk is recognized, go to MY computer: It will display the drives and if they contain anything, it will show there. In the event the disk is not Labeled, double click on the CD rom icon, if the contents for the drive come up, your drive is ok, and the disk is too.
If the contents of the disk do not show up, but the drive is displayed, recycle the drive mechanism.
(open/close)
If that still does not do the trick, reboot your computer, and try again.

As a last resort, an external drive via a USB connection will give you the drive contents.

Good luck and don't forget to vote.

If you have wireless at your location, then there is a good possibility that the wireless adapter is turned off. Check your manual on how to turn it on or look at the keyboard and see if there is an on/off function for the wireless. Typically when it is on, you'll have a flashing light indicating it is sending/receiving.

MOD. PT900E-03SFK-IT

The sound board in your Tecra 9000 is probably okay - the connector located on the I/O board is most likely at fault here (it's not making full contact with the I/O board and therefore, your sound board is functionally not connected).

Solution? Either resolder the connector on the I/O board, or replace it with a good one.
