do it if u r a professional..
check the following:
1)1st i gotta know: is ur drive pata/sata and the device make n model..
assuming that ur drive is pata..
open up ur system cabinet and see CAREFULLY/THOROUGHLY if all the data cables n jumper settings at the back of the drives (master/slave selection)..itz most important..!!..
at the bootup (0.29sec) start pressing briskly the key to enter cmos utility or bios setup (eg. F1/F2/F10/Del as applicable)..glance in the standard settings if r detected individually..change the 'Mode' if m/b is hybrid type(both SATA+PATA) : Native/Compatible/Enhanced (as applicable)..
see if ur device needs any additional driver or not, if so try downloading..
look if ur device itself is faulty by replacing with a standby..
also try checking itz data cable for loose or faulty..
2)is ur m/b compatible..check with a substitute/standby..
3)if ur hdd is making any humming noise (like 'tic tic' or 'kirr kirr')..if so it is likely to be replaced..
4)replace the data cable with a standby n see..
5)all the power connectors n data cables r properly sitted n connected..
6)reset(by picking/removing up the +3v cmos battery n resit it it again)..
7)update/flash the bios..
8)check for firmware update and or raid drivers (as applicable)..

if u r not a professional, try contacting ur system admin/vendor....

the steps u can try is 
1. go to start->control panel->sound and audio devices->double click on it and then go to the voice tab->in the voice tab click on to volume button and click on to the options tab and then go to properties and after that in the mixer device select the first option or check the recordings options then check all of the options in the list then click ok you will get a new window which give you the option of unmuting the microphone.

after Follow This instruction :

1 - Right Click on "My Computer"
2 - Select "Manage" option

the jack on the board is likely the fault, and will keep popping the power supplies you put to it. get that machine serviced or replace the board asap.

iiiii is a virus program that transfers to the system through the USB devices. It keeps on hanging the OS at startup because it is pin at startup area of the OS.

Alternnatively, you can remove it by using a software that can bring out all the startup programs. The root of iiiiiiii.exe is in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\XP6880 9. You can simply locate the root and get it deleted completely. Hold shift before deleting. Then empty the recycle bin and restart.

Do not re-install anything...

It is an overheating issue. The "paste" between the processor and the heat sink has deteriorated over time and the heat sink is separated from the cpu or not making a good heat conduction contact.

Although it is possible for you to do (take laptop apart), I suggest a repair shop.... but get an estimate and have it done while you wait... don't buy any other "services"..

first find the location where you put it.If it is in any drives like dvd,then open the drive.Take tha laptop in hand and make the position of the drive to dawn.Then gently very slowly hit on the laps dawn side.it should surely come out.

Might need to take it apart and clean them. Did you spill something in there? Also make sure your mouse properties are set right click speed etc) in Control Panel. Can you double-tap the touchpad to make selections.

go to hp.com download your Conexant driver and fax modem driver for your model onto a flashdrive and install it on your laptop that way..another thing check your updates. microsoft has an audio conexant driver in the custom downloads...
