(after its locked) if not locked , tell me the maker name of the router and model and we can set it up. if you can not CELL phone, (android ) settings, turn on wifi if that fails , then you need help setting up the router on most cases the ISP puts sticker on the back of the router (nice IPS) that tell you your wifi settings. if not , you must call them

Hi, You can also check to see if it is enabled in the BIOS. Start Laptop and when you get to the HP splash screen tap F10 to get into the BIOS. If you have a BIOS password put that in, then the main BIOS screen will appear. Click on the ADVANCED tab. Click on the "Built-In Device Options" Check to make sure that these 3 settings ARE checked. Wireless Button State Embedded LAN Controller LAN/WAN Switching !Remember to save before you exit! Log back in and hopefully you're Wifi will be enabled. If It still does not work, you can check to see if the Drivers are installed in Device Manager

I suggest try to reinstall the Operating System and after that if its still having same problem i suggest call the manufacturer it could be a Hardware problem. Reinstalling the Operating System will isolate if its Hardware or Software.

there isn't one, you need to connect to the internet ia a wired connection and update your drivers through windows update. i know it's telling you to turn it on but that isn't the problem , it's the driver. the one on the hp website doesn't work. once you've updated through wondows update and restarted you need to wait a few minutes then try connecting to the internet wirelessly. it should work

Restart and boot in control panel and check in user accounts.
Goto network and internet and try connecting to wireless network.If still not working try creating a new user account with administrative privileges and check.

A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:
In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.
Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.
When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.
Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.
