Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Unlocked GSM Android Smartphone Questions & Answers
How to unlock pattern?
You have to recover with your Google Account. If you fail unlocking your phone 5 times, an extra button will pop up (think it says Forgot Pattern or something like that) and clicking it will ask you to enter your Google Account as well as password which will take you to the lock settings where you can choose to make a new pattern lock or get rid of it.

How to connect to internet
Do check the manual settings.Internet connection can be done through Wifi or mobile data.If you are trying through Wifi..switch ON the Wifi in your Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and it will automatically detect the nearby WiFi devices..select the one that you desire and provide the necessary password authentication if required..you will be directly connected to the internet. If you choose mobile data...try to get a 3G or 4G speed sim since it is faster..and do the respective settings if any, by contacting your network provider. You will be connected to the internet. You can get the upload and download speeds using
Scanmyspeed.com
Sim card information
You can as a backup, but the amount of information a SIM card can hold is extremely limited. I'd recommend against it. If you're just interested in backing up your contacts, I'd make sure you have a valid gmail account or use the app MyBackup by RerWare. I've used this application several times to transfer contacts, SMS & MMS from one phone to another.
Frozen on satrting
hold vol up and power at same time with phone off
when the menu comes up choose reset to factory defaults
Frozen on starting
you need to hard reset your phone, you will loose everything on it but this will work. you need to hold power volume up and home button together at the same time until the phone goes black then shows the samsung logo. let go of all the buttons scroll down to wipe cache partition and click on it. then goto wipe data/factory reset. once you have done that click reboot system now.
restart phone and all should be good
Texts not working on samsung galaxy y , storage data says full , even though it has been emptied,m no texts are coming in, also the option for moving apps to sd card is greyed out
Your phone can't use the mini SD card as internal memory. Your internal memory has to many apps, and to much data. (pictures, notes and messages) You should clear up the internal memory, by deleting apps and data. Most Samsung apps you can't delete. The modern phones already have apps, exceeding 10 Gb. So if you bought a 16 Gb phone only 5 Gb is left for you to use for apps. I'm sorry, but the SD cards should be seen as an external hard disk, not as internal memory.
If you thought I can buy a phone with less memory, because the SD cards are very cheap and will extend the internal memory, you made an error. New phones from Samsung now get more than 10 Gbyte of apps, you even can't remove. So only about 5 Gbyte is free to use for other apps and messages.
Next phone, take one with lots of internal memory, if you like to install other apps.
