restart the system and keep tapping F8
check whether you are able to take the system into safemode.
if it comes in safemode then download and run programs named as malwarebytes and trojan remover.
if you are not able to get into safemode then try safemode with commandprompt and try a system restore from there.

Hi its possible that the graphics chip or its related components was affected during that fall,but before you go for a new board,check and see if the Ram has also been unseated during remove the ram an put them back properly.

If your trying to get on the internet with a wireless connection.and running WINDOWS, .and I am assuming you DO have a wireless router all set up and configured to broadcast the signal (not hidden) ....first we have to determine if the problem is at the router or at the laptop AND at what point its getting stuck ... so first try this

try resetting the router (unplug for a few minutes) next --be sure the wifi switch is enabled on the netbook---next---go to CONTROL PANEL>NETWORK CONNECTIONS--right click oin your wifi card and choose properties--highlight INTERNET PROTOCOL and choose properties and be sure "OPTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY" is checked--Does the laptop "SEE" the router?
You will need your SSID to logon to the router(internet)

What can you do if the laptop LCD screen gives the lines on screen? From my experience I can tell that this problem may be related to the following: 1. Loose connection between the video cable and the LCD screen. 2. Defective LCD screen. 3. Defective motherboard (I assure the graphics card is integrated into the motherboard).

Check these by yourself or get assistance from Dell support.

the problem can be with the keyboard so please check the keys in win7 weather all the key r working as the bios keys for laptop is F2 ,if u press F2 while booting the laptop means when the logo of dell appears try it or u can also try to use an external usb keyboard

No. You need to install the driver for the wireless adapter. Go to the Dell website under support, enter your service tag number, go to driver downloads, download the driver for the adapter, and install in your computer.

Hi Friend, In order to turn on the wireless switch, you have to press and hold the "Fn" key on the keyboard and then press the key "F2" and release both the keys, you will see a notification in notification area on the right hand bottom corner of the screen saying Wireless Radio turned on.

its have some problem withe the inverter card in the display .if no warranty, you can replace that by ordering separately.

A BIOS password is a protection measure that can be used to stop someone powering up a computer system or making changes in some of the computers most sensitive areas. Many big name computer manufacturers such as Dell and HP lock the customers out of this area because they don't want the customer changing anything and potentially damaging the machine (which the manufacturer may have to warranty). However, when someone like a computer technician or hardware enthusiast needs to make some hardware changes to the computer, they will need to access the BIOS. Here are some methods to bypass or remove a BIOS password.

NOTE: Do not try to guess the password on a passworded Hard Drive. 3 wrong guesses will often result in the information on the hard drive being lost forever.

How to Bypass or Remove a BIOS Password by Removing the CMOS Battery:
The simplest way to remove a BIOS password is to simply remove the CMOS battery. A computer will remember its settings and keep the time even when it is turned off and unplugged because these parts are powered by small battery inside the computer called a CMOS battery. If we pull out this battery, the computer will forget alot of its hardware settings, including its BIOS password. This should not be performed on Laptops if you are not experienced working with laptop hardware.

Anyway, open up the computer case using a screw driver and locate the flat, circular and metallic CMOS battery. It should look something like the picture to the right. Some computers have this part standing upright.

Once you have located it, observe how the latches are holding it. There are many different ways to remove a CMOS battery but the most common way on newer computers can be seen in the picture below.

Make sure to power down the computer, unplug the power cables and unplug any USB devices if they are powered. The computer must not be able to get power from anywhere for this to work. Take out the CMOS battery and wait 10 - 25 minutes before putting it back in. The reason for this wait is because the computer can still store power in its capacitors even though everything is unplugged. The waiting period allows enough time for them to discharge.

Plug everything back in, power up the computer and enter the BIOS again. If everything went well there should be no more password. In some cases, if you get weird error messages during bootup now, you will need to goto "Load BIOS Defaults" in BIOS and save the changes to fix them.
