My system is having problems communicating with the battery

What message you are getting??Possible problems:1. The battery not seated correctly. Try reconnecting the battery.2. The battery contacts got dirty or oxidized and the battery is not making good connection with the motherboard. Try reconnecting the battery a few times.3. If reconnecting the battery doesn't help, most likely the battery is bad and has to be replaced.4. If you replaced the battery but the problem still exists, this is motherboard related failure. Apparently the battery charging circuit has failed. In this case the whole motherboard has to be replaced (or repaired on component level).

Uninstall any softwear you may have put on the computer before the problem started.2. Do a complete System Restore: Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. This will bring your system back to a time before you installed the softwear or Microsoft installed drivers, etc.Note: Just be sure to use a date in a darkened box, that is before your trouble start date. When you have done the above, restart the computer and if your still having the problem, then the installed drivers, updates, softwear, etc might have corrupted the Operating System. If that happened then that means either repair or reinstall the operating system. You will need to do the following:1...Repairing the Operating System...A...You will have to have the Operating Dics that came with the computer. If you did not make any or none has been made since you have had your computer, then you may be able to make the CD/DVD's for your computer.Check in the Programs and see if there is a program that will allow you to make a back-up CD/DVD's for your system.Note...If you do not have the disks that came with your computer or the ones you should have made when you first got your computer...then you will have to go to the manufacture's webpage and see if they have a recovery disk available for your computer, if they do not a recovery disks available then you can also try ebay to locate the recovery disks. Dell m65 hard drive not detected

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

Hi I am using my

Make sure you set the right action for the laptop closing. Right click on the battery or plug icon on far right of the windows bar the go to power option.

Then make sure that for any power mode the computer won't enter the sleep state when closing the lid.

If this doesn't work, you might have a dell specific software the takes care of the power setting and override the windows default one, try to find it and alter the settings as mentionned above.

good luck
