Whirlpool ultimate care ii dryer. Drying a load

this has gas coils on top of the gas valve the flame might ignite for the first 10 to 15 minutes but if the coils are failing you won't have any flame after they heat up,when they cool down they will work again so i would say you have bad gas coils, easy fix, remove the two phillips screws, remove the top cover, remove the connectors off of the coils and reinstall the new coils, watch out for the large coil, there's a spacer that slides onto the post,if it's not there poke it out of the old coil and slide it back on the post and then slide the large coil onto the post,i've gone in and found this missing on some dryers that the customer had changed out the coils themselves before,it will still work but it can chatter alot.also while your in there remove the thermal fuse and the cycling t-stat both on the blower wheel housing and make sure there's no lint buildup on the back of them,if so just clean them off and you'll be fine

Where do you look for the igniter

Most of the igniters are located in the lower front area of the dryer. You need to remove the top cover from the front area , using a spatula to Pop it open (don't forget to remove the filter if its located on the top, Including the two screws that hold the base) . Then you need to remove the front plate by removing two screws from the inside upper Area . The igniter is a ceramic fuse that will click and glow completely Red and ready for the gas to create the flame and heat for you dryer. If you model has a bottom front cover only and after you remove it ,then it will be easier to observe The actual process of the igniter if it is working properly . Good luck

Whirlpool gas dryer lg7681 heat

There are several thermal safety fuses in dryers which once blown have to be replaced. But, more importantly, they normally blow for a reason and simply replacing one without resolving the underlying problem of overheating will simply cause another failure. Lint is the normal culprit; vacuum and forced air to clean everything out. WITH THE POWER CORD UNPLUGGED and the leads temporarily disconnected, check continuity on each of the thermal fuses (they look like a stainless steel hat that might fit on a Barbie doll. Some dryers have four or five.).

Can I use a lint

Hi,

Yes and no....

Do not place the kit immediately off of the dryer...give it at least a few feet of space from the dryer to the kit to let it cool down a bit before getting to the kit.
Make sure to check it often and keep the hose and the kit clean....if it clogs up it will cause things inside the dryer to go bad...

Take a bit of care and install it properly, keep it clean and you will be happy with it.

My whirlpool ultimate care II

As you may know the gas continually comes on and off all through the cycle to regulate the heat. So the ig nitor and flame sensor is working because you hear it. But the lack of heat is due to faulty solenoid coils getting hot and quitting. When they cool off they work just a little bit more. Very hard to diagnose but easy to fix. Just get some new coilse0158ca.jpgDrop the bottom panel and you can access the gas assembly If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

No glow plug glow, hooked up a pigtail, it works

Your service manual, or wiring diagram for this machine should be located in the control panel housing.
Most likely you have a blown thermal fuse. This part is located on your blower housing right behind the lint screen duct. The power for your gas valve/burner assembly is routed through this part and will be cut off should the drum temperature get too high during operation. The part is a skinny white colored item with a black strip down the center, a quick check would be to see if it has continuity, or simply bypass it briefly to check it. DO NOT leave the part bypassed.
To access the part remove your lower front access panel, remove the lint screen for m the dryer and then remove the two quarter inch screws on either side of the lint filter housing to remove the housing.
The part number is a 3392519 thermal fuse.
Good luck to you on this.
