I have a whirlpool electric

Hi

If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things-

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.

2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.

3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.

4. Motor wiring shorting to ground.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Dryer comes on and heats

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Dryer wont heat

The problem is likely the thermal cut-off and/or the high-limit thermostat if the dryer runs but doesn't heat. Verify this by bypassing the thermal cut-off and the high-limit thermostat. Click on the link below for the detailed troubleshooting.

GEW9200LW1 DRYER TURNS ON BUT DOES NOT SPIN

Hi there,

Well first of all you may check out the Door Switch if it's defective then your dryer is not able to spin, it may interfere with your dryer drum's ability to tumble. Test your dryer's door switch. If it is no longer functioning than you need to replace it. you need a multimeter to check it. Post further comments for more help or information......

Good Luck!!

Hello I have a duet

Hi

The issue is either with the thermal fuse of the unit that is bad or the motor that has gone bad. To check what is causing this, first check the fuse which is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct and try to jump start the thermal fuse or test its continuity with a voltmeter, no continuity means bad fuse. If the fuse is okay then replace the motor as that part usually makes a hum sound when it is unable to run. Hope this helps... please post back for further assistance.

I have a duet model 9200lw1 it has no heat I have

you need to actually check the resitance on the high heat thermostat and cut off... make sure if your meter has a ohms and a beeper on it it should beep when you test across it with the unit unplugged and the wires off the terminals of the limit.... when the heater is heating if you test across the two terminals of the heater if working properly you should get 0 reading.
make sure you have 220-245 volts coming into back of unit even if you think it is check it the unit will still have a light and tumble with half power. you need to test across terminals at same time and should get the above voltage..... good luck to you hope you get it fixed..... good luck
