To restore your blackberry device to factory settings please follow the instructions below. They may differ slightly from one device to another so please post if further information is needed.

1. Press the Menu key twice and scroll down and enter the Options tab.
2. From the Security menu, select Security Wipe.
3. Be sure to highlight the three checkboxes available in the next menu. If you used the SD card for your backup, remove the card and leave the "Media Card" box unchecked.
4. Now type "blackberry" in the field below the boxes.

And did you close any apps already? I think the phone wants to make some memory free, for the camera app to work, and to sore the pictures or video you want to shoot. Rebooting, does not close apps.

Now look at your phone, you will see a message saying that the phone is getting wiped (Resetting). Wait a few minutes and once the wipe it done Click on LOAD OS on the BBSAK software and then you will get a menu to select the Blackberry OS that you have installed in the PC (Remember i said that you need the Blackberry OS to the PC first).
